   Im sure Melissa and Daddy will still be renewed.
   Anything above 1 million is good for a cable comedy show.

   Still loving Dallas but Larry Hagman isn’t in the show much anymore. Just a 1-2 minute appearance. Hope to see JR back in action before we lose more viewers.

   @Liam — you’re right about the repeat of Dallas, of course, but then, to compare it, you have to do the same with, say, Royal Pains, which got .3 for its repeat, for 1.4.

   I was expecting them to phase out Hagman. He looks kind of frail and is probably expensive. Ultimately, the show has to be carried by the young leads. It’s a shame — what a force he was!

   It seems that some of you want Dallas to fail. It’s the only prime time show I’m consistently watching. I think it’s great and I still fall into the target demographic. I’m thrilled that TNT gave the green light for another season…it’s going to be a long year.

   abc family is more concerned about 12-34 ratings can we have melissa and joey and baby daddy 12-34 ratings?

   Silvit u r so full of it. Flop Schmop Dallas is a solid solid show. The little I know of demographics I do know I know more than your blind ignorance. My friends in advertising when buying TNT are more interested in 25 year old eyes than 18. So the TNT model is more like 25-49. I have a 25 year old niece and a 49year old mother of sister in law who both watch Dallas religiously. One for the nostalgia both for the young men eye candy…their words not miine. It’s a top ten show for who it’s for. TNT is not just procedurals unwise one, FS is a major hit and it’s classic genre. So until u actually know of what u speak I’d zip it Slivit or whatever the hell your tag is.

   Dallas was actually up in viewers this week as Dallas is not that far away from catching Royal Pains but the demo needs to go up a point or two. Soaps just like comedies work better in blocks so TNT will need to develop another soap next season or continue one of the ones from the past like Dynasty, Falcon’s Crest or Knots Landing.

   Dallas has been on a role lately and getting so addictive as John Ross going to jail next week should be rather interesting.

   I can’t explain the drops for Melissa & Joey and Baby Daddy but as long as they remain over a million viewers that should be good. Somehow I think the July 4th preemption affected the momentum both shows had.

    @ Shelley & GB: I agree guys reading through some of the comments there are some people that definitely want Dallas to fail but too bad for them its ratings are solid and growing in viewership getting close to 4 million and already renewed for season two.

    TNT always touts out the 25-54 demo for their shows except Falling Skies so apparently just like CBS they probably don’t value the 18-49 demo like some of these fanboys do.

    @ AJ: I think that momentum from the holiday definitely hurt both programs, ABC Family would’ve been better off running new episodes that week. Hopefully next season ABC Family expands the comedy block to two hours.

    We must remember the original DALLAS started slow then became a mega hit after its second year. It’s pretty much holding its ratings and actually its the best thing on TV in 20 years. Reality TV is getting out of hand.

    I dont think Dallas is a flop either. I think it is doing good for what TNT wants just like Falling Skies and Rizzoli and Isles are doing good for TNT.

    Beverly Hills Nannies runs the same episode at 10pm. I know a bunch of people who had to be out at 9pm and planned to watch at 10pm. Should’t the 10pm ratings be added in?

    I haven’t watched last nights episode of Nannies yet, and I’m not sure if I will, but I think that the idea was great, but it was executed terribly. The pilot episode was really all over the place and introduced everyone terribly and introduced way too many people too quickly.
