   Please, someone tell me what assault weapons are used for other than war. Why would an American Citizen need an assault weapon?

   @eggmanbill, there is not ONE American citizen who needs an assault weapon. It’s people who believe in the absolute right embodied in the Second Amendment. But, the Second Amendment states clearly … “A WELL-REGULATED militia….”

   @ninja … NO, I like LAW & ORDER. Go find something else that is FUN to shoot. Or, better yet, reprioritize your life. Go watch a Little League baseball game. Go volunteer at a nursing home. Go feed the pidgeons in the park. Fun to shoot? Give me a f*cking break. What the f*ck is wrong with you?

    I do not think so. Almost all CW carriers practice with them all the time. While in the military I was a marksmen and know better to shoot at body armor. I would have gone for the kill shot. If more people had CWP’s and where there things like this would happen less. This guy was just walking down the rows without and concern. Easy shot. You and Boss can tell me I am wrong all you want but in truth I am right. They think they can get away with the action until they want to stop it. If there were more CWP out there they may have a second thought about it.

    Boss ,a militia is a body of ‘CITIZEN SOLDIERS’ and is distinguished from the professional soldiers. The key word is ‘citizen’ Boss. Boss, one thing for sure, ‘you don’t understand ‘the meaning of the word ‘militia.’Now you can make any ‘snotty’ remarks you want at me .But,one thing I do know is ‘you’re clueless’ on what the definition of the word militia is and the meaning of the 2nd Amendment.
    Boss,why did you only post apart of the 2nd Amendment why did you leave out the part that states ‘THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS?’ The key word there Boss is ‘PEOPLE.’No ware in the 2nd Amendment do you find the word ‘military’ just the words ‘militia and people.’Boss, a militia is made up of citizens (people) that are called up to the security of a free state.
    I call it as I see it and you don’t know ‘JACK SH*T’ about the 2nd Amendment!

    I can now see why you piss off so many people. I live in a small town of about 600 people. I started shooting guns when I was seven years old, not counting a pellet gun when I was 4 yrs old. Maybe I am just nieve growing up in a small town but we grew up learning from our parents to respect guns.

    I’ve done alot of offshore fishing in Florida,,back in the 80′s it was downright dangerous to go offshore without decent weapon’s and if you cruise more than 12 miles out,,I would highly recommend you carry an assalt rifle,,shotgun and handguns,,especially in a sailboat or you are just a sitting duck..

    ‘Gun control debate’

    Anyone wishing to enter the debate on gun control should consider the facts….

    Thousands of law abiding citizens have guns with no effect on the general public…

    Gangs aren’t law abiding citizens and they have thousands of firearms…

    Law Enforcement, with the help of the Military if necessary should move to
    eliminate the gangs with deadly force if necessary….

    Anyone committing a massacre type shooting should be dealt with immediately
    and without political correctness…

    Law abiding citizens should not be part of the equation…

Jeff are you a member of Aurora’s ‘chamber of commerce and already got the inside scoop on the ‘evil NRA’ rally or is this just your own allegation ? Hell Jeff, with statements like that you should take your talent to ABC news.Jeff maybe you and Brian Ross share the same office.
