Two and a Half Men is already showing that moving it to Thursdays was a perfect move. A 2.1 is better than any demo ratings it has had Mondays at 9 all summer. I bet this move allows for another season after next, it’s 11th and final season. Warner Bros. will want to get as many episodes with Kutcher as possible for syndication.
Big Brother is already shaping out to be a great season. I’ve never seen a house so divided on the first week before. Usually it’s pretty concrete who is leaving and who is staying, but not only was it up in the air until the live show, the house went against the HOH’s wishes and voted out the pawn.
Interesting that The Vampire Diaries is repeating worse than Hart Of Dixie. If only HOD would do as well in first airings.
yay Duets!
@Ryan Schwartz
Anything airing after The Big Bang Theory is going to get a big boost. 2 Broke Girls got a similar lift when it aired there, as well. It is called lead in support.
CBS the only one to reach the 2s. Just sayin.
1.2M total for the 2 airing of L.A. Complex…. not so bad
It still interesting that even after adjustment, ratings of Take Me Out and Duets combined are out matched by TBBT.
@cc
Just like they have been all summee. The only times any other shows have hitten 2.0 was the season premieres of Wipeout and So You Think You Can Dance (a Thu special).
2.5 for TBBT is great. Surprised Rookie Blue didnt adjust down as it normally does.
NBC News announced today that companies wishing to advertise on Rock Center will no longer have to pay cash. NBC will now accept cows, chickens or goats as payment for ads.
The Big Bang Theory should have a strong 6th season.
New Girl reruns did remarkably well.
The TBBT/TaaHM block is a monster. Expect 30 Rock and Up All Night to be destroyed, as well whichever ABC are sending to the slaughter this year. That said, I think CBS will regret not launching a new comedy off TBBT in the long-run.
RIP Duets. Not coming back with those numbers.
New Girl has low viewership or higher than House and Bones repeats and
Kills them by 50% plus New Girl 9:30 adjusted up a tenth. Love that show!
Apparently a lot of drama went down in the Big Brother house today, ending with an expulsion. Hopefully this means higher ratings on Sunday!
Great for TBBT/TAAHM! Although I’m nervous on how 2 Broke Girls will be able to handle anchoring Monday Nights.
Duets will not be returning. Wipeout is still solid, but it’s novelty is wearing off. I used to watch every episode, now I rarely watch it, and basically don’t care about it. Rookie Blue is very solid for such a cheap show.
NBC is sad as usual. How long until Rock Center gets pulled in the fall? Sure a .7 is decent for NBC for such a cheap news program specifically in summer, but in the fall NBC is going to fail on Thursdays at 10 pm let alone Thursdays as a whole.
“…in the fall NBC is going to fail on Thursdays at 10 pm…”
Even now i see NBC Thursday 10pm and i think er.
When was the last time NBC launched a hugely successful scripted original series? Sorry, The Office being a remake excludes it as non-original. Heroes in 2006, Medium in 2005, Crossing Jordan in 2001, The West Wing in 1999. All of them started strong but each took a dive a little too soon to be hugely successful. L&0SVU is a spin-off and therefore non-original. Which means you would be looking at the er/Seinfeld/Friends era for NBC’s last huge success. I know not every network can have the hit new show but it has been nearly 20 years for NBC. Nothing But Cwality.
By now NBC has probably beaten themselves up a few times for not picking the right Canadian shows to import because The Brian Williams Rock Show is going so fantastic. NBC’s import choices aren’t bad but they just have 2 strikes against them out of the gate – on NBC and from Canada.
The L.A. Complex had 88K viewers on Much on Tuesday, down from its lead in of Pretty Little Liars with 180K. Despite how bad it is, proportionally, The L.A. Complex usually does BETTER in the US. I’m not sure anyone really knows why it was renewed, including the people at Epitome, Bell Media, and The CW.
It’ll be after the election as news shows tend to do well in election years.
Will & Grace was a monster hit and it started in 1998.
I realize that Duets probably will not be renewed but really enjoyed each week even though the female contestants were weak. I like that Jennifer N. very very much!!
