I like CNN International but they have had some credibility problems.
CNN International is taking some heat from The Atlantic after the magazine noted that a recent program focusing on Kazakhstan was sponsored by Kazakhstan itself. The show presented the Central Asian country in a very positive light, and featured interviews with government and business leaders there, without a real acknowledgement that the country was sponsoring the program.
If that sounds familiar, it might be because CNBC Europe faced a very similar predicament last year with its “World Business” program. CNBC ended up canceling “World Business” after the uproar.

H.B,
My comment on guns held by border state residents, was that I could see having a long gun & pistol. My penny’s worth of info. did not include assault guns. I know nothing about them , but, would tend to not support them . I’ve not had TV on precisely because I’m sure the commentators have had diarrhea of the mouth … nonstop talk of guns & gun control, motives behind the shooter, deaths due to guns, etc. ,etc., etc. There is an election coming up. NOTHING will be done . It’s an exercise in futility to keep yapping about this during the heat of passion.

Scott Brown Ad: ‘Let American be America Again’
Scott Brown has an awesome, inspiring, new ad out that deserves to go national as an argument for the entire GOP

Ann Romney – A Coal Miner’s Grand-Daughter – Will Visit Welsh Cousins This Week During London Trip
This is a very interesting story for those interested in pursuing it. Her father, Edward Davies, known as Rod, was born in the mining village of Nantyffyllon, near Bridgend, and emigrated to America with his mother Annie, brother David and sister Margaret in 1929 as worldwide economic depression loomed.

I wrote in an earlier post that I was somewhat swayed by the arguments against assault weapons from the lefties. I am seriously reconsidering my opinion.
As far as Glen Beck is concerned I always thought he was a little weird and out there. My God we are talking about a movie!
@Scilian Papa
“My God we are talking about a movie!”
I know. People were talking and complaining, including a person in here, about the Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter because he/they thought that it would let the left poke fun at Abraham Lincoln in real life because he was a vampire hunter. I told the guy “IT’S A MOVIEEEE, get over it”.
Some young people today feel like their life is a failure if they don’t achieve some kind of psuedo fame. They watch reallity shows and compare them with there own dull lives. I believe that is some of there motivation, to be somebody. They want there picture seen across the country on TV and talked about by important people.
How is this for a headline?
Friday Ratings: CNN Beats All Non-Fox Networks
by Mediaite Staff | July 23rd, 2012
During its breaking news coverage of the tragic Aurora, Colo. shootings last Friday, CNN beat all non-Fox competitors in both total viewership and target demographic.
As much as we debate guns we need to talk about this need for fame. This is especially true for young loners. They don’t have many friends and feel like they are living empty lives. I don’t know for sure but I would be willing to bet that they do not relate well to the opposite sex.
The society we have today and instance fame some achieve without any marketable talent contributes to the problem.

MSNBC really flopped in there coverage!
I know MSNBC was expecting better because there political hosts were doing better in the ratings. There numbers were brutal.
I guess everyday, the head people at CNN pray for for a tragedy lol..
Darn it Mr Bush!! Cut it out already!!!!!
Federal Government’s Debt Jumps More Than $1T for 5th Straight Fiscal Year
By the end of the third quarter of fiscal 2012, the new debt accumulated in this fiscal year by the federal government had already exceeded $1 trillion, making this fiscal year the fifth straight in which the federal government has increased its debt by more than a trillion dollars, according to official debt numbers published by the U.S. Treasury.
Prior to fiscal 2008, the federal government had never increased its debt by as much as $1 trillion in a single fiscal year. From fiscal 2008 onward, however, the federal government has increased its debt by at least $1 trillion each and every fiscal year.
Rest in Peace Sally Ride!
So what about it? Should we have a discussion about what motivates these killers to comit these heinous crimes. Can we find an answer. We at least will be able to spot some of them before they can strike.
The FBI and ATF need to do a better job of identifying these people. I know it is a big country and they have a lot of other responsiblities but we need to do more. I know they catch some before they strike and we can’t expect them to be perfect. The last three successful mass killers all fit the same profile.

The first year of Obama, Pelosi and Reid they set this debt spending in motion. The last year of Bush the debt was over a Trillion because of one time expenditures. Obama and the Dems raised those spending limits and never increased revenue into the treasury. Now they want to raise taxes on the rich which won’t even come close to covering there welfare spending spree.
@ Sicilian Papa
I guess you have not been paying attention much less listening to King Obama so SHAME on you!!
Bush did it! Obama inherited it! The republicans have caused it, did I mention it was Bush’s fault?
You really need to pay better attention! Watch Tingles more and you will get a better feel for the political goings on!
I dont understand why liberals wanna tax the rich. What the hell will that even do? nothing!! These people honestly hate people who make lots of money by going to schook workin there ass off making great investments etc. And they wanna punish them by making them pay more!? Makes no sense. They keep trying to make rich people out to be the bad guys lol. Money doesnt make people bad libs. Thats like saying guns kill people. Nope people and kill people. But hey liberals dont want gun rights either!(and no im not rich at all and dont own a gun) just find the libs pathetic.
LOL
I always get a good laugh and a nice feeling when you mention Tingles.
DOVN. The way of the future…
@Suikostinger,
The exasperated scream you let out was exactly: <IT’S A MOVVIIIEEEEEEEEEE. Jesus Christ. What is wrong with you?>
It was so bloodcurdling-good that I just had to record it.
LOL Applestinx. That’s it! Where you the one complaining about the movie?
