This latest :30 promo features award-winning journalist, best-selling author and television personality Katie Couric asking poignant, probing questions about the issues on the minds of her viewers and gives them a sense of the kinds of topics that will be featured on “Katie,” her new hour-long talk show debuting on September 10th in national syndication (check local listings or www.katiecouric.com). Broadcasting live every day from New York City in front of a studio audience, the daytime program will be timely and topical -- blending entertainment, information and stories of the day in a format that is engaging, compelling and interesting. Katie will explore what’s going on in the world, using her personal experience and insight to get to the heart of what matters most to viewers. The show will include powerful segments and thoughtful interviews with newsmakers, celebrities, and everyday people who have extraordinary stories to tell. Cleared in 95% of the US, “Katie” is distributed by Disney-ABC Domestic Television and is executive produced by Katie Couric and Jeff Zucker.

Good Lord they are begging for this thing to succeed. I hope it doesn’t. She needs to go back to the only place she is really good and that is morning talk.

  • Max

This looks like it will be destined to fail.

  • Jeff

I couldn’t be paid to sit and watch Katie Couric. She was OK on Today, and since then, her only bright spot has been showing the world what a moron Sarah Palin is.

  • HT

She is known to be a real biatch within the industry. Nobody ever mentions her monumental failure as a news anchor. I have a feeling this will go the same way Jane Pauley’s show went a couple of years ago – down and fast.

  • MBmomof3

I won’t watch & hope this show is yet another ABC Daytime failure. Send her back to Today.

Love it MB — I wish nothing but failure for all 3 networks with their current daytime programming plans and for turning what used to be great daytime television (gameshows and soaps) into absolute unwatchable TV…

PLEASE, send her back to CBS – they deserve her!! General Hospital, I want you back at 4:00!!!! Somebody, please, STOP throwing money at Couric!!!!!
