Having a baby is an intense emotional journey for any woman, but everything is heightened when mothers and their teenage daughters find themselves pregnant at the same time. MY TEEN IS PREGNANT AND SO AM I offers a captivating look inside two families as they struggle to deal with two generations of women sharing this life changing experience together. • Other Than That Mrs. Lincoln How Was The Play?

They need to do a hood version of this show like the guy who fathered 30 children by 11 women. WOW ! What stamina the dude has.

A 33-year-old Tennessee man with 30 children has asked the state for a break on his child support payments. Desmond Hatchett of Knoxville, Tenn. fathered 30 kids with 11 different women and is having trouble supporting them all.

They should air this show after “Honey Boo Boo” as a part of white trash night!..I would watch..lol

  • Adele Cordero

I personaly know Melissa and her daughter they are great people!!! Things happen for a reason and are truly blessed to have those 2 babies in there lives! Who are y’all to judge you don’t even know them! Just because they are in the situation they are does not make them trashy they are what i call BLESSED!!! I love the Phillips and am blessed to have them in my life!!!!

  • MBmomof3

Just like the Duggars are blessed? I call it a freakshow. Sorry Jmo. But displaying it a on Tv is exploitation .

While “Garage Sailing” this past weekend I found a Videocassette called Wonders of Weather: TORNADO. It was produced at at time when TLC actually had some good Educational Documentaries on it (As well as their Sister Channel, The Discovery Channel. Sadly that was over a Decade ago, I’m glad I no longer have Pay-TV, Nothing but Sleazy “Reality” Programming INFESTED with 20 or more Minutes of Commercials per hour. IMHO WHAT A RIPOFF!

GOSH THESE COMMENTS ARE HORRIBLE CLEARLY YOU HAVE NO CHILDREN IF YOU DID YOU WOULD NOT JUDGE THIS FAMILY, A FAMILY THAT IS CLEARLY TRYING TO DEAL. THEY HAVE TAUGHT THEIR CHILDREN RIGHT FROM WRONG. AT SOME POINT YOU JUST HAVE TO TRUST THAT YOUR CHILD WILL DO AS THEY WERE TAUGHT. SOMETIMES THINGS HAPPEN AND YOU ARE LEFT DO WHAT IS NECESSARY FOR YOUR FAMILY. REGARDLESS OF WHAT ANYONE ELSE THINKS THIS IS NOT A TYPICAL “TEEN MOM” SHOW. DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR GIVE THESE FAMILIES A CHANCE THEN FEEL FREE TO JUDGE. AS ADELE STATED THE PHILLIPS ARE FREAKIN AWESOME!!!! WE NEVER KNOW WHAT WE MAY HAVE TO ENDURE THIS COULD BE ANYONE OF US NO MATTER HOW GOOD OUR INTENTIONS ARE . THERE ARE MORE PEOPLE IN THIS VERY SITUATION THAN WE KNOW, MY HOPE IS THAT THIS HELPS ANOTHER FAMILY THAT MAY BE GOING THROUGH A STORM IN THEIR LIVES. TWO BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN WERE BORN TO AN AMAZING FAMILY. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A “WHITE TRASH” SHOW THEN YOU WILL BE EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED. THEY ARE LIKE YOUR FAMILY AND MINE…EXCEPT THE PHILLIPS FATHER IS A SUPER CUTIE!!!

  • Cade Johnson

Ok i know liZze for about 7 years shes a great mom ur just mad cause she has a reality tv show and yall dont sorry asses

  • Jen

Thanks for perpetuating this awful stereotype and keeping this “teen mom” craze in the media spot light, therefore, reaching out to your younger audience and reinforcing to them that it’s ok to be pregnant as a teen. Oh yeah! and that if you get pregnant at 16 than what the hell, maybe you’ll just get your own god damn reality show!

  • Jen

Cade johnson, what is your highest level of education? just wondering because judging from your grammar and composition I am guessing you’re about 8 years old and in this case I can’t take anything you say seriously.

  • Sam

Several of my classmates in both High School and College were pregnant teens and have young children (ages 10 and under). While they love their children, they would *not* want this part of their lives paraded around on television. Most of the teens I know who are/were teen moms are disgusted at MTV’s Teen Mom and wouldn’t watch this either. I’m not saying these families are “white trash” (for all I know some of these families could be extremely well off). I am, however, saying that EDUCATION – not “let’s document it and make money” would be better. Tell teens about the emotional, physical, and psychological effects.

One of my dearest friends, a Navy sailor, teen mom, and single mother told me once that she loves her children. Her eldest son was a surprise and she wouldn’t change the decision to have him for anything. She wouldn’t, however, have let anyone film it for anything. That nine months she went through everything from being celebrated to treated as a pariah. As a woman you aren’t fully developed until after childbirth, but get 100% out of puberty first.

Also: I’d be embarrassed as hell if I was these girls that my mother was both pregnant while I was and that we were on TV. There are families that have both mother and daughters pregnant at the same time but it shouldn’t be on TV.

And CAPS LOCK is really not necessary to type an entire paragraph. It just shows a lack of ability to communicate and no one reads it.

  • E. R. Savage

or you know instead of society acting like it is totally acceptable that teenagers are getting pregnant left and right parents teach them how to use birth control and condoms, which is a lot cheaper then a child. this has nothing to do with how wonderful their family is or how “blessed” they are for this situation, that’s just called denial. America is in a sad state when people think a 17 year old child being pregnant is a blessing and not an embarrassment. babies should not be having babies, you think those kids are going to grow up in a stable household with two parents? please, this is just sick.

  • E. R. Savage

not all young parents are bad, all I’m saying is you are already damning this family by televising something that shouldn’t be on TV and perpetuating that it is perfectly acceptable for kids in high school to get pregnant cause it’s the cool thing to do. ugh

  • Megan Slater

Obviously they don’t know us so you can’t call MY family trashy. Y’all are suppose to be GROWN ups and you’re acting like you’re still in high school. Everything happens for a reason. We’re not perfect bit we’re not trash. it’s crazy how people will be so quick to judge. I know we will make a difference in someones life. I love my FAMILY and wouldn’t trade anything in the world for them.

    Luke 6:37 ESV – “Judge not, and you will not be judged; condemn not, and you will not be condemned; forgive, and you will be forgiven;
