Looks like FBN is growing and CNBC is shrinking
Early Start/Starting Point still no traction. They have made a few changes but need a complete overhaul. Erin Burnett also not improving. How long do stations give a show before they do something else? Piers Morgan is picking up a little. I think if he would stay away from politics and quit trying to tell us how superior the UK is to the US and how we should do things as the UK does, he would draw a bigger audience. He had Michael Moore on last night so I watched for about 1 second.
Scott Brown and Collins crossed one on vote. Wish I had the contribution back that we sent to Brown when he was elected. Hope Warren wins. Would rather have a Democrat in office voting like a Democrat and not a Republican voting like a Democrat.
I dont mean to be that guy…but it was Tuesday the 24th not 23rd.
@Letmethink at least Erin’s numbers are going steady after they drop john king, i reckon they will give her some more time, again she has potential, but honestly they just use her in a completely wrong way.. piers’ numbers went up only because of Michael Moore, i am sure his will drop dramatically tonight.
Yep, the CNN post tragedy slide has commenced. Letmethink, you are right, Starting Point and OutFront are just not gaining traction. Changes need to be made. Morgan is really hit and miss – personally, I think they should just ged rid of the obnoxious Brit. They canned John King but Burnett is doing worse. Her highest ratings came on days when she wasn’t there – what’s that tell you CNN?
Key Demo numbers are pretty pathetic for Chris, Al,and Ed. Added together (459) they dont beat Hannity or OReilly (unless you add Chris’ 5 oclock numbers then they barley beat oReily without his rerun numbers)!
@Matt
Looks like FBN is growing and CNBC is shrinking
FBN is staying steady in the 60 mark. 2 weeks ago they were at around 65 and even 72 on 1 or two days. CNBC however IS shrinking.
Now here is an endorsment you pay money for!!!
Quite the Endorsement: Hugo Chavez Praises Obama, Denounces Romney; Will Media Report?
If you haven’t heard of Barack Obama’s newest endorsement, you’re seriously missing out! Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez gave his blessing to the 44th president and he should be proud. I’m not at all insinuating that this election and the one to be held later this year in Venezuela are similar at all, but when a Latin American strongman who built his political career and government policies on class warfare rhetoric praises the president of the United States and bashes Mitt Romney, it’s certainly newsworthy.
Indeed, although the media are not trumpeting this fact, Chavez equated his race with that of the President Obama calling Mitt Romney a callous member of the capitalist elite. Of course, it should go without saying that Chavez’s program of hope and change and left that country hopelessly shortchanged. Under the Chavez regime, there’s been an increase in inflation by 27.5 percent, aggravated by a deluge of government spending. And then there’s the whole discouragement of private investment thing, which Chavez’s nationalizing of industry has tended to do.
For the most part, Lawrence O’Donnell is conducting his show as if the Aurora shooting had never happened, except to excoriate Wayne LaPierre, President of the NRA. Ed Schultz and Rachel Maddow have been off, I don’t know if it’s for the whole week…we’ll find out tonight. Ezra Klein sat in for Rachel and demolished Willard for on the one hand saying Obama is a failure if you count economic activity from the moment Supreme Court Justice John Roberts screwed up the oath of office until now, while on the other hand saying you have to give a new President six months or even a year to put his policies in effect. There was a statement by a Romney “advisor” that the Administration, not just Obama, is not Anglo-Saxon enough. Irishman O’Donnell should run with that tonight!
nice to see Maddow’s fat hairy ass continuing to do so well.
Squawkbox is even worse than the CNBC total day ratings, and continues to slide. Excessive political coverage is alienating and dispersing Squawk’s audience. If FBN dumped Imus, and put on an investing and trading show of reasonable quality (hire Jeff Macke as the main trader; maybe lure away Kayla Tausche from CNBC as the lead financial journalist — young, hot and very able), FBN would be #1 in the “flagship” morning slot within weeks.
Wow bro, Fox News smoked all the other networks. Piers Morgan beat Mr. Maddow. When are these left wing networks going to realize that liberal news stinks just like their viewers.
@Laurence Glavin–Bro, what are doing calling Mr. Maddow by a woman’s name? You called her Rachel? Don’t you know that Rachel is a dude. Heck, everyone knows that Mr. Maddow has a girlfriend.
FBN has a relatively new personality— Melissa Francis. I really like her. Googled her and she has an interesting background. Harvard graduate—she was the sweet Breck (?) baby in the 70 commercials. She was in Little House on the Prairie and several other shows. She seems to have the “it” factor with confidence and she comes across as likable.
Erin Burnett was good on CNBC when she gave reports on Morning Joe. Maybe she is just not ready for the hour format. It would be interesting to know what they considered when they hired her.
So…..Chrissy TINGLES and the MessNBC Gang back to their Low Numbers, the “Blip” didn’t last very long did it ??? Here today, gone tomorrow….
Too bad (sniff sniff).
Lawrence O’Donnell beats Fox & Friends in the demo. Not bad.
@Betty
Are you confusing MSNBC with CNN? CNN was the ones with the high numbers because of the tragedy…..
Tony
What demo?
Can’t we all just get along?
I am waiting for the NBC Nightly News to see if Mitt will put his foot in it. Mitt wants to be POTUS very badly.
