Here’s an idea for the cable “NEWS” channels. Stop trying to boost your party; freedom of the press is a “right” given to you by “the People”. You’re jobs are to dig up dirt and investigate, then report the NEWS. When a news outlet gets that, and believes in that, they will win the rating.
THE MEDIA SHOULD WORK FOR THE PEOPLE; DIG IT UP and DISH IT OUT!!
PLEASE’ PLEASE ‘ PLEASE get back to work FOR THE PEOPLE and NOT the parties!!
@ Coffee Steve,
“How in the heck ya been Sam? Good to se your still around”
Perfect, hope you and the family are doing well
We decided to come back from Rhode Island a day early. The weather here is supposed to terrible today.
A bunch of us Italian guys got together yesterday for a little reunion at the beach. You could say we are “Good Fellas,” uh, “Good Old Fellas” is more like it.
Sam, nice debate Tuesday, you are a gentleman and it was refreshing to have a vigorous debate without anyone getting nasty.
NBC Wall St. Journal Poll Obama 49% Romney 43%?
I read were the poll was skewed with many more dems. than repubs. surveyed. Geez, NBC is now putting out phony polls to help the President, typical and not suprising.
Sicillian Papa, one of my favorite trips ever was to Newport. We stayed in a very old, historic B&B–ate breakfast on an enclosed patio surrounded by hydrangeas. Food was yummy!!! We attended the Newport Flower Show. It was unbelievable. The mansions were beyond any that I had ever seen. We ate at The Black Pearl, did a champagne sailboat ride, went to a polo tourney and just generally had a tremendous time. Where we live, we are landlocked so seldom see sailors. Was great to see all the sailors. You are lucky to live near a beautiful place like that. Glad you got to meet up with your friends.
Question?? Why do we have a constitution and laws when they are not followed by pols and there is no consequence and nothing that can be done when they don’t? For instance, deciding not to follow immigrations laws, not to support the DOMA, to suspend work requirements for welfare, to start a tax bill in the senate and on and on. Withe the MSM not reporting a calling this to the attention of the people, will it ever change or just get worse?
Good Morning Everyone, Morning Mike and letmethink

Update: USDA after outrage pulls story off website
*A new jobs training oversight report by Sen. Tom Coburn (R-OK) found that a federally-funded Oklahoma Job Corps program spent around $76,000 per person to help youth secure minimum wage jobs.
Hmmm…16 Trillion in debt? Wonder how that stuff happens
*EPA: Water Safe to Drink in Fracking Region Town
The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency said Wednesday that it has completed tests on drinking water in the northeastern Pennsylvania village of Dimock and has determined it is safe to drink, despite the claims of some residents who say it has been polluted by gas drilling.
*Three Presidential Debates Announced
President Obama and presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney will face off in three televised debates this coming October: one on domestic policy, one on foreign policy, and a third town-hall-style event where undecided voters will quiz the candidates
*Rahm Emanuel Pledges To Ban Chick-Fil-A From Chicago
Meanwhile in Chicago
*The unemployment rate in the city of Chicago is approximately 9.8 percent, well above the national average.
* Since Monday a 17-year-old boy has been shot and 13 others have been wounded in shootings across the city. And that’s just the most recent wave of shootings to plague the city – dozens more have been shot over the last few weeks. And Mayor Rahm Emanuel is taking action: he’s banning Chick-Fil-A.
Dear Rahm, no body could work there anyway, a business likes to be able to keep people alive, not shot. Oh by the way Rahm, the trick is to “create jobs” not drive them away.
Will everyone wake up so I don’t look stupid filling up the page by myself?
@Ratboy
When and IF you wake up today LOL

“Ron Paul’s legacy celebrated after House votes to audit Federal Reserve”
“While the House overwhelmingly passed Paul’s signature legislative desire Wednesday, Democratic Majority Leader Harry Sen. Harry Reid’s office has signaled that he won’t bring the legislation to a vote in the Senate.”
But will not see the light of day in the weasel reid’s senate.

@ Coffee Steve
More on the Pres debates.
When are the 2012 presidential debates?
President Barack Obama and presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney are scheduled to meet in three debates in October, the Commission on Presidential Debates has announced.
Vice President Joe Biden and the Republican vice presidential nominee will square off once, also in October. The debates will come nearly a month before the November election, as each ticket seeks to sway the last remaining undecided voters.
Rather than having the candidates standing on a flashy stage, the commission — a nonprofit, nonpartisan group –recommended that the nominees sit around a table with a sole moderator. Moderators will be announced in August for each of the 90-minute debates.

Janet Napolitano: Expect More Terrorist Organizations to Visit America and White House
Ever get the feeling this administration loves criminals and hates US laws?
The Obama regime, the State Department and the Department of Homeland Security did not go through Congress to allow a known terrorist, Hani Nour Eldin, a member of a designated foreign terrorist organization, Gama’a al-Islamiyya (Islamic Group) a visa to enter the US. The incompetent Napolitano claims Eldin was vetted, yet Rep. King (R-NY) pointed out that Eldin listed he was a member of a terrorist group listed on the State Department’s terrorist list.

80% of Obama’s Bundlers, Who Raised Over $500,000, Received Jobs in Obama’s Administration
Crony capitalism from a guy who constantly attacks the rich. Rich Democrats are not so evil, only rich Republicans.
When President Obama named Hillary Rodham Clinton secretary of state after the 2008 election, he turned a rival into a loyalist. But he also lost Mrs. Clinton as one of the most popular Democratic fund-raisers for his re-election effort, since the nation’s chief diplomat is not allowed to engage in campaigning.
More than a dozen current or former ambassadors were listed by the 2008 campaign as being in the top tier of bundlers — fund-raisers who collected a minimum of $500,000 in checks from other donors and bundled them together. The campaign does not disclose specific figures above $500,000; the total for several of these people most likely ran into the multimillions.

Raleigh, NC “We Built This” Business Used in Romney Campaign
Steve Webb better watch it. Obama has an enemies list and Webb may end up being audited by the IRS or investigated by the Labor Department as another Romney donor knows all to well.

Did Obama Plans involve Higher Unemployment, Record Long-Term Unemployment,Record Deficits, Record Debt and Record Poverty?
So Obama claims his plans have worked. The numbers beg to differ.
Was record deficits and record budget deficits his plan?
How about the record he’s added to the national debt?
How about the higher unemployment we’ve experienced since Obama took office?
Was this record long-term unemployment, not seen since the Great Depression, his plan or someone from his miserable economics team?
Did his plan call for record bankruptcies and foreclosures?
Was his plan to put more people into record poverty despite promising to take 2 million out of it?
Did his plans call for a record number of Americans to be on the food stamp rolls?
Did his plan call for more Americans filing disability claims instead of collecting paychecks?
Did he plan to have the worst economic recovery in history and if so, why did he waste $831 billion on his stimulus that failed to stimulate it?
The only plan that Obama seems to be working is the one Cloward & Piven came up with. Obama’s “plan” isn’t working for America and the numbers back up my claim.

Three Times Liberals Have Taken Romney’s Words Out of Context

2. “I’m not concerned about the very poor.”
3. “If they want more stuff from the government, tell them to go vote for the other guy.”

“There’s no reason to vote for ‘history’ twice. People already did that in 2008. So the only ones who are gonna vote for Obama again are those who believe in his policies.” -Rush Limbaugh
