@Nick: I would say Last Resort has good promotion. It’s the only new fall drama I’ve seen any commercials for on ABC, just like Revolution on NBC. Come to think of it, it’s the only new fall show I’ve seen ABC promote, period. If that’s not good enough promotion I don’t know what is.

It’s up to us to spread the word. Mark your calendars for September 27th. LAST RESORT MUST NOT FAIL!!!! :D

  • Dan

@Glover – Its anybodys guess to which new drama will be cancelled first but my guess is once it is, ABC will and should put Body of Proof in its slot. If all of the new dramas make it to January, which seems unlikely then maybe ABC could replace Private Practice with BOP.

My guess the late start for Happy Endings and Apartment 23 is the presidential debates. Apartment 23 still has 6 episodes from season 1 + 13 season 2 episodes = 19 episodes for this season.

  • CrimTV

I thought ABC would want more than 19 episodes for it’s second season so it at least has a shot for syndication??

  • Jay

None of this matters…GCB is no longer on so I wont have really any reason to watch abc except modern family, but even so that is a show i dont need to watch consistently.

  • Kissan

Actually the only show I see that’s getting a LOT of promotion is Nashville. You should’ve seen the 20/20 episode last week about the colorado shooting, every commercial you saw was about Nashville.

  • Avery

    America’s Watching ABC.
    Can’t wait for the fall!

  • Avery

    TGIF returns Nov. 2nd.

  • SarahL

I have caught up on Scandal and really enjoy it. I am looking forward to it.

I am also excited about 666 Park Avenue.

  • Dan

@CrimTV – Apartment 23 is nowhere near syndication, even with 19 episodes this season + the 7 from last (26 total) it would still take 3 more full 22 episode seasons for the series to be close (its third, fourth, and fifth) which is not guaranteed because we dont know how the series will do this fall. After this season Happy Endings will be half way there and in the same boat as Cougar Town was at the end of its second season.

  • rob60990

I’ve seen more promos for Nashville and 666 Park Ave than I’ve seen for Last Resort. Since Last Resort is their 1st new drama premiering, they should be promoting that more.

  • j

So I don’t have any fall shows until October basically, since Revenge is on the day before that month starts. 30 Rock is a few days later. Nashville is a few weeks later.

  • joel

So now it’s resolved for the broadcast nets cumulatively the top six premiere nights are (1) Monday, Sept. 24, (2) Sunday, Sept. 30, (3) Thursday, Sept. 27, (4) Friday, Oct. 19, (5) Wednesday, Sept. 26, and (6) Tuesday, Sept. 25.

  • Networkman

I still feel Malibu Country should air first @8pm on Friday followed by Last Man Standing. I just feel Reba has the stronger fanbase at this time to open the hour. I know ABC is trying to revive TGIF, but in my honest opinion, I would of loved to see Reba after DWTS:result show on Tuedsay. I would of held Private Practice for midseason and put Body of Proof on Friday after Shark Tank. I think Body of Proof would of had a strong shot in beating Made in Jersey.

Revenge should do a two-hour premiere with the first hour catching everyone up on last season, given the complexity of the show. Unless they’re running a marathon of season one shortly before to catch everyone up…

  • Tom

From the ‘Have to Point Out When I’m Wrong’ Department:

(Unless they delay the Friday starts,) With Tuesday not settling into its final schedule until the 23rd, ABC won’t get many data points before they have to decide on go/no go on those Friday comedy spackles.

(On the other hand, they will have plenty of data points on The Neighbors to decide if it gets swapped to Friday purgatory.)

  • Tony

I am most looking forward to ABC’s shows!

Last Resort looks great! Hope it can live in that death slot! 666 Park Ave looks like another hit! I’ve heard amazing things about Nashville, so I’m excited to see that and Connie + Hayden = great TV. Malibu Country should be great.

the only new show I could care less about it The Neighbors, regardless I will DVR the first episode out of curiosity.

So excited for the return of Revenge, Once Upon a Time, and Scandal!! Not to mention Apt. 23, Happy Endings (which by the way will be an AHMAAZING comedy block), The Middle, Suburgatory, and Modern Family, and Grey’s Anatomy.

It’s amazing how strong ABC’s Sundays look, who knew that after failing in the 10pm multiple times and Desperate Housewives ending ABC could come out and create a triple threat drama block. I hope 666 Park Ave is as amazing as it sounds/seems!

And ABC’s premiere date schedule is great. Nothing too confusing, but nothing too basic where everything starts the same week. ABC should and wealthfully deserve an increase in their ratings this year. OUAT, Revenge, and Scandal should all rise from their freshman seasons! and hopefully Apt. 23 will rise too!

man I cannot wait for Fall TV!!

    New Show Predicted Premieres

The Neighbors- 3.3 (huge Wk. 2 drop)
    Last Resort- 2.4
    666 Park Ave- 3.0
    Nashville- 3.2
    Malibu Country- 2.1

  • joel

Malibu 2.1 on a Friday? I don’t think so. Honestly, I’ve seen the clips and that show looks worse than last year’s I Hate My Teenage Daughter.

  • Crawford

ABC’s dramas for fall look strong. Nashville and 666 look like huge hits for ABC. Both are in good time slots and have received good promotion from what I have seen. Last Resort is the only one I’m not sure about. It’s time slot is awful. Plus maybe it’s just me but I have seen barely any promotion for it. Will absolutely be watching Nashville + 666 and give Last Resort a try. Other than that I will watch MF and GA (my two favorite shows and the only ones I watch on broadcast television).

  • RJ

Last Resort is premiering against the season premieres of TBBT and 2.5 Men……. Yikes :/
