CBS NEWS’ “FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER” IS THE #1 PUBLIC AFFAIRS SHOW ON SUNDAY, JULY 22

 

“FACE THE NATION” IS FIRST IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

 

“FACE THE NATION” IS ALSO UP +5% IN HOUSEHOLDS, +11% IN VIEWERS AND +33% IN ADULTS 25-54 COMPARED TO LAST YEAR

CBS News’ FACE THE NATION WITH BOB SCHIEFFER was the #1 public affairs show on Sunday, July 22, placing first in households, viewers and adults 25-54. The CBS broadcast posted a 2.0/06 in households, 2.84m viewers and 0.8/04 in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. Editor’s Note: FACE THE NATION’s second half-hour was broadcast contiguously across 69% of the CBS affiliates.

 

FACE THE NATION is up +5% in households (from 1.9/05), +11% in viewers (from 2.56m) and +33% in adults 25-54 (from 0.6/03) compared to last year.

 

Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is up +11% in households (2.1/06 from 1.9/05) and +6% in viewers (2.90m from 2.74m) compared to last year. Television year-to-date, FACE THE NATION is first in adults 25-54 (0.7/03, tied with NBC).

 

On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed Aurora Police Chief Daniel Oates, in Oates’ first interview since the Colorado theater shooting. Schieffer also interviewed Rep. Ed Perlmutter (D-CO), Aurora Mayor Steve Hogan, New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Schieffer also led a roundtable with CBS News Chief White House Correspondent Norah O'Donnell, Political Director John Dickerson, Senior Correspondent John Miller, Justice and Homeland Security Correspondent Bob Orr and CBS News Correspondent Barry Petersen.

 

FACE THE NATION is broadcast on Sundays at 10:30 AM, ET (check local listings) on the CBS Television Network. Mary Hager is the Executive Producer.
