I know this will be lengthy but here goes………

My husband and I met at a small church where we both attended. One night after church we had been talking, and one of our church members said “Bill if you are going to talk all night then you can take her home. Well we went for coffee, talked for hours (actually he did) and took me home. We had a whirlwind courtship and four months later we were married. Some people were skeptical and told us our marriage wouldn’t last 2 years. Through the years we have had our ups & downs like any other couples who have been married as long us. We have been jobless, homeless & have dealt with medical issues. Our faith in God & sense of humor has kept our sanity and marriage intact. This past summer I has my class reunion which was a 2day/3 event weekend of which my husband without hesitation was more than willing to be our “historian” to take photos of our special occasion, and said it was one of the best times he ever. He never had the opportunity to attend any of his reunions. He works very 6 days a week to provide for our family and when he comes home from work, he helps me with the apartment we are currently managing so we can have a home. Not to make him sound like a saint, he always helps others in need and expects nothing in return. A few years ago we attended a young friends wedding reception and the DJ asked for all married couples to join the newly weds on the dance floor. Couple by couple left the floor until we were the last couple standing. The DJ asked us what was our secret for a long & happy marriage? I said having faith in God & a sense of humor especially when you are married to this guy. When the DJ asked my husband the same question, his response was
“SHE IS ALWAYS RIGHT” and that is why he is STILL THE ONE! We will be married 40 years this December 16th.

I have known my husband all my life growing up he is nine years older than i but i always admired him for all he did for our community. So i married him 13yrs ago.I had an accident four years ago and have had five surgery’s.It has been a rough road for us but this man has took care of me still today i just had my last surgery where we had to travel 900 miles just so i could walk again. He is my rock and that’s why he is still the one.I could go on and on but my foot is swelling so i gotta go lie down.We need a vacation so bad and this would be perfect.I love you VAN with all my heart and i thank God for you everyday.

Although I love my wife as she is still the one and you have to write in in order to win the contest, but saw a love story “Love in 22 pictures” on the today show that I believe should win the contest. The husband went to do his service for the core and lost his arms and legs. This did not even miss a beat for his girl friend turned marries stay with him. A touching story that has reach the 50 state and father.
My wife is name Denise and we together would hope this couple, “love story in 22 picture” the today show, should win.
Keep on doing want you do.
