   You should see how WEB THERAPY is doing on SHOWTIME. LOL. I love that show but I think it does about half of what The Franchise does with the same 0.0.

   Dallas is still doing good for Wed. nights. It’s been either the number 1 or 2 watched show by viewership.

   I think they need to phase out the two young female leads on Dallas because they just aren’t that interesting. They also look alike a little bit. Bland characters just don’t draw in the viewers. Look at the original DALLAS. Sue Ellen was a drunk, Pam was absolutely beautiful and riveting…they were interesting. I love the Dallas reboot but they need to bring in new love interests for John Ross and Christopher. They also need to add a few new characters, and this foolish feud about drilling for oil on Southfork land is really ridiculous. Bring back Ewing Oil and bring in some competitors for them to fight with. This in-fighting is tiring. Josh as John Ross is by far, IMO, the bright spot of the show (as is Larry as JR). Josh is not only one of the most beautiful people on tv but he’s a good actor. He totally sells me as being Jr’s son. I also am not that interested in Christopher’s alternative energy. Dallas was always about oil. Keep it about oil. Its just more dramatic and interesting that way. AND OH, BRING BACK PAM EWING! Ann, Bobby’s wife, is just as boring as the two young female leads!!!

   These numbers are difficult to put in context other than week to week performance. There is so much more than influences the first run rating including what was on b’cast, what were the premium channels airing, what sports were on, no PUTS or HUTS are ever published to see if audience viewership is just down across the board. The share is critical to publish so we have some indication if PUTS/HUTS are influencing.
   These shows will have a very tough time up against the Olympics being on so many channels. This has been a tough summer to get a real read with large electrical outages, weather – so much influences TV viewership. We don’t know how much was DVRed for playback.

    I hate the above list because I think it should include the 25-54′s as well.
    On the cable news shows, the important demo is the 25-54 age group and “The O’Reilly Factor” is King of the World there. No one would really know that because Bill O is at the bottom of the above 18-49 list. I don’t think it’s fair that some shows, like cable news, should be on both lists because they are for clearly different average viewers.

    I agree with Greg, DALLAS needs to get back to the old Ewing oil, Ewing Barnes feuds, JR needs to get back to being his old evil self. Maybe bring in a son of Cliff Barnes and let him start the Barnes Ewing feud.

    Repeats don’t have any value. And for a repeat, it’s pretty low. 11 pm showing repeats of the other shows on TNT do better.

    They are just trying to pimp up bad Dallas numbers. At the moment it’s TNT worst performing scripted show of the summer. Leverage gets the same numbers but at 8 pm when the ratings are lower in general. The numbers speak for themselves. It’s TNT Political Animals.
