   People got to remember about Dallas that the show is on by itself on Wednesdays with no help like the other TNT shows during the week. Soaps just like multi-cam comedies work better in blocks. That’s why TNT needs to either create a new soap or just reboot an older one like Dynasty, Knots Landing, or Falcon’s Crest.

   I think like a couple of people mentioned earlier Dallas still does pretty well in the 25-54 and its still over 3 million viewers. It’s the best Wednesday performer TNT ever had for an original series. Then you have the fact that the international numbers will support this show and potentially DVD sales which TNT will all earn from since they own the show. You guys take way too much stock into domestic numbers for shows that are owned by the network.

   Not that I’ve personally seen the show..but MAMA DRAMA on VH1 is doing better than there whole Sunday night lineup. I wonder why VH1 is throwing this show away and airing it with back to back episodes at 11pm and 12 am.

   I think that the Olympics is going to have a big issue with ratings especially Disney channel today on Friday, does anyone know how the rating went during the Beijing Olympics

   We had about 880K watching Soccer on ESPN2 and NBCSPN(Olympic Soccer replay). I assume we had another 250K-350K watching the MLS ALL Star game on Telefutura…The combined audience for soccer at 8:30 pm (EST) was somewhere around 1.2 million or so (viewership on ESPN2, Telefutura, and NBCSPN)…Not bad for a Wednesday night…

   With Necessary Roughness so low USA is going to have some tough decisions to make. Political Animals is out because it was a limited series but that still leaves Fairly Legal, Common Law and NR on the bubble maybe. Those are their three lowest rated shows. I hope they consider the Friday Factor with FL and CL both of which were airing alone on Fridays for a while as well. And then think that NR is losing a lot from its highly rated lead in. Time will tell.

    The young bucks on Dallas can’t even over act. The story lines are out of control. Such promise….. Larry Hagman needs to work on the Andy Rooney eyebrows. Disturbing!

    Jordana Brewster is a babe. I’ll keep watching to see her. That is all…..

    I don’t get why so many people are freaking out over Dallas. Number two for Wednesdays, and number 12 in the top 100. What am I missing? As for the show itself, I think the whole cast is doing fine. Sure, I prefer Duffy, Hagman and Gray, but the younger actors are holding my interest, too, and there’s good intrigue and a revelation in every episode.

    Sometimes, I think people come here with their own agenda, regardless of what the numbers are.

    Any chance you can get last weeks numbers for retired at 35, curious, they were never shown i don’t think.

    At least its up from when it was on Tuesdays, i do still watch it and it is okay and slightly better than last year, probably because of the sister although i very much prefered Casey Wilson as the sister but glad she is not on this show cos that would mean she wouldn’t be on Happy Endings as my 2nd favourite character on the show (was favourite in first season, but Elisha Cuthbert got hilarious this season).

    Anyway, While I watch all TVLand original comedies, the only two I really love are Hot In Cleveland and The Exes.

    @Jared.

    It’s because Mama Drama is a show that VH1 meant to air nearly 8 months ago (behind Mob Wives) and kept pushing back until now where they see it as simply a burnoff show. I don’t believe they have any real expectations or intentions for this show except to just air it and be done with it.

    @bg – the game brought in 358K viewers and a .18 A18-49 rating on Telefutura.

    @Martin – Retired at 35 was up 13% from last week in viewers (787K vs. 699K) and 25% in the demo (.25 vs. .20).

    @ TV Gord I like Dallas but I was just worried about the ratings continuing to drop and the demo too. Maybe I am wrong but when I saw the .7 from a 1.5 it started out at I start getting worried.

    The repeat of Dallas does count – it’s included in the Live +Same Day numbers which is what is used for the advertising charges.
