   Reid: Romney’s Dead Father Would Be ‘Embarrassed’

   In an interview with the liberal Huffington Post, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid alleged that Mitt Romney paid no taxes for more than a decade—and that his father, the long deceased George Romney, would be embarrassed by his own son.

   The unsubstantiated allegation about Romney’s taxes was based on what Reid described as the recollection of an unnamed Bain investor. Reid admitted he did not know if the claim was true, but aired it anyway.

   “He didn’t pay taxes for 10 years! Now, do I know that that’s true? Well, I’m not certain,” Reid told the Huffington Post. “But obviously he can’t release those tax returns. How would it look?”

   Reid went on, “His poor father must be so embarrassed about his son,” referring to George Romney’s decision to release 12 years of tax returns during his run for president.

   Senior Romney adviser Kevin Madden called the statements troubling.

   “(It is) troubling and disappointing that Senator Reid would cite Governor Romney’s father, George, as part of a personal attack against the governor,” Madden told the Huffington Post. “We have many substantive disagreements with the senator and his policies, but using insults about a father-son relationship is a step too far.”

Ron Barber (D-Ariz.) asked Napolitano: “As you know, Madam Secretary, there have been anecdotal reports about material evidence of the presence of terrorists along our southern border. My question is, is there any credible evidence that these reports are accurate and that terrorists are, in fact, crossing our southern border with the intent to do harm to the American people?”

   Napolitano answered: “With respect, there have been–and the Ababziar matter would be one I would refer to that’s currently being adjudicated in the criminal courts–from time to time, and we are constantly working against different and evolving threats involving various terrorist groups and various ways they may seek to enter the country.”

    Busload of Illegal Immigrants Traveling Across County Complaining about “Injustice”…Trip Ends at DNC Convention in Charlotte, NC.

    This is how low American has sunk. Criminals openly traveling across the US demanding “rights” and complaining about our system. Thanks to Obama’s executive order stopping deportations, these criminals believe they have more rights than American citizens. Hint to law enforcement: I know where you can arrest a busload of law-breakers.

    Approximately 30 men and women departed Phoenix, Ariz., on Sunday on a trip scheduled to hit states that have passed aggressive laws against illegal immigration, reports the Charlotte Observer.

    The bus will pass through Colorado, New Orleans, Atlanta and several other cities en route to Charlotte, just before the start of the convention on Sept. 3, according to USA Today.

    “We are tired of the injustice,” Fernando Lopez, an illegal immigrant who is originally from Mexico but now lives in Phoenix, told the Observer. “We are tired of the indignity.”

    The civil-disobedience demonstrations during the convention will take place in Mecklenburg County, N.C., where police officers check the immigration status of those who are arrested. But a spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office there told the Observer that officers will only detain illegal immigrants who’ve been arrested for committing a crime.

    Hedge-Fund Manager, Obama Donor Embroiled in Nine-Figure Lawsuit with Louisiana Pension Funds

    Seems a lot of Obama’s donors are crooks and thieves who enjoy stealing other people’s money (see Jon Corzine). They share the same Obama qualities.

    Prominent hedge-fund manager and Obama donor Alphonse “Buddy” Fletcher is embroiled in a legal battle with three Louisiana-based pension funds seeking to recoup a $100 million investment with his firm.

    Fletcher, who operates a series of hedge funds—some of which are based in the Cayman Islands and reportedly oversee as much as $500 million in assets—contributed at least $2,300 to Obama’s campaign in 2008 and $50,000 to the president’s inauguration fund.

    One of those hedge funds, Fletcher International Ltd., filed for bankruptcy protection on June 29, and recently sued some of its own Cayman Island-based affiliates in an effort to stop the court-ordered liquidation of its assets.

    When three Louisiana employee pension funds decided to invest nearly $100 million in Fletcher International in 2008, Fletcher guaranteed a lucrative 12 percent return on their investment. One of Fletcher’s associates also claimed the investment could be liquidated “in a matter of weeks,” if necessary.

    Rationing Begins: States Limiting Drug Prescriptions for Medicaid Patients

    Just wait until the ObamaCare law fully kicks in and the rationing, long lines and higher insurance premiums take a toll.

    Sixteen states have set a limit on the number of prescription drugs they will cover for Medicaid patients, according to Kaiser Health News.

    Seven of those states, according to Kaiser Health News, have enacted or tightened those limits in just the last two years.

    Medicaid is a federal program that is carried out in partnership with state governments. It forms an important element of President Barack Obama’s health-care plan because under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act–AKA Obamcare–a larger number of people will be covered by Medicaid, as the income cap is raised for the program.

    With both the expanded Medicaid program and the federal subsidy for health-care premiums that will be available to people earning up to 400 percent of the poverty level, a larger percentage of the population will be wholly or partially dependent on the government for their health care under Obamacare than are now.

    Arkansas, California, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and West Virginia have all placed caps on the number of prescription drugs Medicaid patients can get.
