Panetta asks Israel for patience on Iran

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, standing next to the U.S. defense chief, said Wednesday without qualification that international economic sanctions have had no effect on Iran’s nuclear program and suggested Israeli patience was wearing thin, a statement that amounted to an indictment of President Barack Obama’s policy toward the Islamic republic.

House Ethics Committee Finds Rep. Laura Richardson (D) Guilty of 7 Counts of Ethics Violation

Another member of the Congressional Black Caucus guilty. Why does the CBC contain so many crooks?

The House Ethics Committee issued a report on Wednesday finding Rep. Laura Richardson (D-Calif.) guilty on seven counts of violating the chamber’s rules by improperly pressuring her staff to campaign for her, destroying evidence and tampering with witness testimony.

The panel recommended that the House adopt the report and approve a formal reprimand of Richardson for her actions.

Richardson has agreed to pay a fine of $10,000 within four months and require staffers who work on her campaign to sign a waiver stating that they haven’t been pressured to do so.

WTF? House Passes Bill Eliminating Senate Confirmation for Presidential Appointees

What in the hell are Republicans thinking. Did they forget whose in the White House and the radicals he’s already appointed? The same guy who constantly usurps congressional power and ignore the checks and balances set up by the Constitution.

The House passed the legislation Tuesday night by a vote of 261-116. The bill now goes to President Obama’s desk for his signature

Referencing the Obama administration, McClusky wrote that, “In an administration that’s already circumvented Congress with dozens of controversial ‘czars’ this would mean even less accountability for the White House.”

Regulators Stop Obama Administration From Using Taxpayer Funds to Buy Votes…Can’t Use Bailout $$$ to Bailout Underwater Homeowners.

The Obama regime is pissed. Their redistribution of wealth scheme was stopped and they can’t buy votes with bailout money. What happened to that $75 billion HAMP programs that Obama promised would save 9 million underwater.

(Reuters) – The top housing regulator rebuffed a plan by the Obama administration to cut mortgages held by struggling homeowners, a blow to the White House, which is keen to show voters it can help fix the housing market.

The regulator for government-run housing finance giants Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac said on Tuesday that using taxpayer-funded bank bailout money could encourage defaults and not make a big improvement in reducing foreclosures in a cost-effective way for taxpayers.

“The anticipated benefits do not outweigh the costs and risks,” said the Federal Housing Finance Agency’s head Edward DeMarco, who has come under intense pressure from the government to agree to the plan.

Obama, a Democrat, is trying to convince voters ahead of the November presidential election that his policies have helped the economy recover from dire days of the financial crisis and ensuing recession. His Republican challenger, Mitt Romney, has said the foreclosure process should be allowed to run its course and hit the bottom.

After spending six months studying whether to use the taxpayer funds, DeMarco’s agency concluded that the program would not only be costly and time-consuming to implement but could also send the wrong message to troubled borrowers who might choose to default to win a mortgage reduction.

The Obama administration wants to use money from the $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program to pay Fannie and Freddie as much as 63 cents for every dollar of mortgage debt they forgive.

Democratic lawmakers blasted the FHFA’s decision.

“It is incomprehensible that Mr. DeMarco would reject the chance to save up to a billion dollars in taxpayer funds while helping nearly half a million homeowners stay in their homes,” said Representative Elijah Cummings.

Senator Robert Menendez called DeMarco’s decision “terrible” and said it underscores the regulator’s intransigence when it comes to debt forgiveness for homeowners even as his own analysis shows the benefit to taxpayers.

“The working white voters that Obama has abandoned, and now whose votes they’re trying to suppress, this is all about trying to make those people think that Romney is a wuss. That’s why they’re getting Clinton to go to the convention, get some gravitas and to also try to suppress the working white vote that is abandoning Obama.” -Rush Limbaugh

Obamanomics: US Manufacturing Shrinks for 2nd Straight Month

The private sector is doing fine….our planned worked? Really Mr. President?

American manufacturing unexpectedly contracted in July for a second month, reflecting a drop in orders that threatens to undercut a mainstay of the recovery.

The Institute for Supply Management’s factory index was 49.8 last month, little changed from a three-year low of 49.7 reached in June, the Tempe, Arizona-based group said today. Economists surveyed by Bloomberg News projected a reading of 50.2, according to the median estimate, just above the 50 mark that separates expansions and contractions.

The report showed bookings dropped for a second month, indicating Europe’s debt crisis and the looming U.S. government spending cuts and tax increases that constitute the so-called fiscal cliff are taking a toll on customers globally. Federal Reserve policy makers today acknowledged that the economy has slowed and foreshadowed new steps to boost the weakening expansion.

General Motors Co. and Ford Motor Co. posted unexpected declines in July auto sales compared to the same month last year, industry figures also showed today.

Fed policy makers, who concluded a two-day meeting this afternoon, said it will continue swapping $667 billion of short- term debt with longer-term securities to lengthen the average maturity of its holdings, an action dubbed Operation Twist. The central bank will also continue reinvesting its portfolio of maturing housing debt into agency mortgage-backed securities.

    Obama losing his biggest advantage?

A new poll from The Hill casts doubt on the conventional wisdom that President Obama heavily outperforms Mitt Romney on personal characteristics.

Romney is statistically tied with Obama on the question of which candidate is more honest and trustworthy, as well as the question of which candidate most shares your values. He beats Obama by more than the poll’s margin of error (3%) on the question of which candidate is the stronger leader.

You can see the full results, broken down into demographic groups, here. I’ve created the graphic below to more easily read the broad results.

Thanks Obama: US Deficit Highest Since 1940?s

Yet this fool has the nerve to claim federal spending has not increased, but decreased, under his presidency. The numbers don’t lie. Barrack Hussein Obama does.

Obama owns the four biggest budget deficits in history.

Obama owns the record for producing the most national debt of all presidents.

Shhhh, the liberal media won’t mention none of these facts.
