THE “CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY” GAINS NEARLY HALF A MILLION VIEWERS COMPARED TO THE SAME WEEK LAST YEAR
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY posted year-to-year ratings gains for the week ending July 27 among households (4.1/08 from 3.6/07, +14%), viewers (5.99m from 5.51m, +9%) and adults 25-54 (1.4/06 from 1.3/05, +8%), according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings. The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY also gained nearly half a million viewers (+484,000) compared to the same week last year.
The CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY delivered the largest year-to-year household rating increase (+0.5 rating point) for the week. The household rating and viewer totals this week for the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY are the highest the broadcast has delivered since the week of March 19, 2012.
Television year-to-date, the CBS EVENING NEWS WITH SCOTT PELLEY remains the only network evening news broadcast to post ratings increases among households (4.1/08 from 3.9/08, +5%), viewers (6.10m from 5.89m, +3%) and adults 25-54 (1.5/06 from 1.4/06, +7%).
