Disney Junior: July 2012 Highlights:
Securing the Top 3 cable TV series across target preschoolers and the Top 3 preschool cable TV series with Moms, Disney Channel’s Disney Junior block reached all-time July highs in Total Viewers (1.76 million), Kids 2-5 (502,000/3.0 rating), Girls 2-5 (257,000/3.2 rating) and Women 18-49 (332,000/0.6 rating), posting its 4th consecutive year of increases in the demos.
For the 2nd consecutive month, “Doc McStuffins” ranked as cable TV’s #1 series across all target preschoolers — Kids 2-5, Girls 2-5 and Boys 2-5 — and was the #1 preschool cable TV series in Women 18-49. In fact, July 2012 marked the block’s 5th consecutive month airing the #1 cable TV series in Kids 2-5, and the 7th straight month in Boys 2-5.
Disney Junior towered over Nickelodeon head to head in the competitive preschool hours by 50% in Total Viewers (1.8 million vs. 1.2 million), by 51% in Kids 2-5 (479,000 vs. 318,000), by 52% in Girls 2-5 (243,000 vs. 160,000), by 48% in Boys 2-5 (236,000 vs. 159,000), and by 37% in Women 18-49 (316,000 vs. 230,000). Notably, just 1-year ago, Nickelodeon topped Disney Junior by 23% in Girls 2-5 and by 4% in Women 18-49.
