   @Denis TNT renewed Southland and it got a 0.5 for its season finale. Southland season high was a 0.7. Sure Dallas isnt a huge hit but a 0.8 isnt that bad.

   Dallas is performing under TNT expectations given the promotion and the money they spent on it. A show like Hawthorne was canceled last year and it used to get better demo than Dallas (it obviously started lower, but it stabilized around 0.8)

   Dallas won’t be the show of TNT’s future like they hoped for. It can only go down as the seasons go on being a serialized soap.

   It’s not a flop but it’s not a success either.

   He seems intent on trying to prove Dallas is some kind of catastrophic failure. It would be admirable if he was actually speaking with facts instead of opinion.

   Any ratings for the new episode of Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated at 2pm on Cartoon Network? Or for the new episode of NinjaGo: Masters of Spinjitzu at 8pm on Cartoon Network, and the series preview of Ben 10: Omniverse at 8:30pm, also on Cartoon Network? Thank you.

   Poor Futurama. I’m not sure why it got moved to Wednesday. In all honesty I think it would fit well with South Park. They could have an animation block. Especially since South Park probably will be done after its 20th season. I agree with who said that Futurama should be on Adult Swim. Which it really should because look at how well Family Guy and American Dad do on that network.

   I agree! All shows ending in “Wars”, “Kings” and the the like (Parking Wars, Storage Wars, Pawn Kings, Barter Kings, Pawn Stars, Storage Kings, Auction Kings, Auction Hunters etc etc.) should just go away. Shame on A&E especially! Most of these same crap are from them.

   Yes Dallas was anticipated to be some sort of hit for TNT…
   I doubt it will be around for more then 2 or 3 years.

   I am not suprised that this night did not get hit as hard as Tuesday night. I think the Olympics were down by like 7 million viewers last night. Plus there was no big event like Tuesday night had with the womens olympic final. I will say it seems pretty week that the winning show was at a demo of .8 WOW that is bad for the night. Nothing against Dallas but that is there norm demo for the past few weeks and even with winning the night I would not call it the best demo. I do beleive it was good for going up against the Olympics but not good for say a normal night which is what it normally pulls now. Please let me know if I am wrong what is a decent cable demo?

    But Southland was going against broadcast competition, unlike Dallas. Summer is cable season. TNT shows performed much lower last winter vs their summer run of the same year(The Closer, R&I, Leverage).
    If Dallas aired during the winter in no way it would get a 0.8.

    @Silvit Very true, and some excuse is that it was up against the Olympics.

    It had no competition last week yet it managed to go as low as 0.7

    I’m sure had the Olympics not been on last night Dallas’s ratings would have been even higher. For Dallas’s ratings to go up instead of down DURING the Olympics says a lot about this fabulous show. It is definitely a HIT for TNT and not a miss unlike what some naysayers out there are saying. Last night Dallas had THE MOST VIEWERS over any other cable show. And while it’s demo #’s have dropped its still doing very very well. I’m wondering how the show would do if it aired in the Fall instead of during the summer when tv viewership is always down.

    What are you trying to prove exactly? You seem to making an awful lot of effort to repeat your opinion that Dallas is doomed, terrible show, will be cancelled. How many times do you need to repeat your opinion? Honestly now?

    So what if it dipped to 0.7, it’s at 0.8 now, with competition from the Olympics. Oh dear.

    No competition last week yet it feel to a 0.7….the week before it was a 0.9.

    It would no doubt rate worse in the fall as it would have much better competition

    @Silvat And how do u know how Dallas would do? TNT renewed it for 15 episodes so they must be happy. And what big broadcast competition did southland have? On NBC it had Parenthood and it was below a 2.0 and ABC had BOP and that had what a 1.5 most weeks.

    How much longer till Conan is axed? If TBBT can’t hold viewers for them, nothing can. TBBT is in overkill already, but I bet another hour would still get more ratings then Conan.

    @Silvit and @Denis That was my question because that is the norm for Dallas. It’s great it stayed around the same with the olmpics but last night alot of people were talking about R&I that hit a .8 during a much higher record breaking night for the olympics they were saying that was bad but that is not the norm for that show. Dallas has been getting this as their norm. I just wondered what is a decent demo for cable show a 1.0 or higher?
