Wipeout needs Jill Wagner
@K
The U.S. just had a two set lead over Russia and were a point or two away from the match, and then Russia mounted a huge comeback and won.
I guess that’s the final nail in the coffin of your ridiculously stupid idea.
@ Ultima
Wasn’t that great? Russia looked all but out, and they roared back to win. I’ll give you that, but there is the missed call in mens beach volleyball US vrs Russia, that gave the point to the US team (Gibb and Rosenthal) near the end of the first set when it clearly showed the Russian team did not touch the net.
@K
Have you ever watched sports before? Missed calls are going to happen in any sport or competition with subjective judging. No one is perfect.
An official missing a call that helps the U.S. is not evidence that the game is rigged in their favor. Just like the no call on a blatant hit on Wambach that should have been a red card is not evidence that the game was rigged against them.
The U.S. does extremely well and wins a lot of medals because they’re a very rich, high population country that has spent considerable effort developing training programs and facilities for athletes in olympic sports. You know, just like China (and the USSR and GDR before them).
@Ultima
I believe it. US womens basketaball, blew out China, even after China had an early lead. I guess the Chinese “gave up” how sad.
