   The problem with Bunheads is that it has a crap lead-in. Secret life really needs to end, and Bunheads needs to either follow a better show such as Pretty Little Liars, Switched at Birth, or the comedies.

   I think W13 and Alphas will get one more season each and then done. Ratings mediocre but what else do they have, scripted wise. Syfy needs to at least keep the illusion they are trying to provide original sci-fi content. Although on second thought, maybe they don’t.

   good to see Bun Heads up in viewers. Perseption is a good show. I hope both of them go back next Monday. Oh and thanks for the Hollywood Heights ratings too.

   The problem with Bunheads’ lead-in is that they have nothing alike. It would have a bigger viewer overlap with the comedies, even.
   I have a dream schedule for next summer:

   Mon-
   8: Switched At Birth
   9: New drama

   Tue-
   8: PLL (pt. B)
   9: Secret Life final season (pt. B)

   Wed-
   8: M&J
   8:30: Baby Daddy
   9: Bunheads

   @ Nick Switched has a better demo than Bunheads and usually draws a slightly larger audience. This suggests that Bunheads hasn’t yet caught on with the Family audience, not that Switched isn’t an adequate lead-in. Bunheads doesn’t unfold in the manner of a typical comedy/drama. It’s storyline moves at a leisurely pace with a subtle wit and tends to be full of digressions. That takes some getting used to. This show is going to succeed (if at all) with an audience that isn’t concerned about leaving its preconceptions behind. Changing its lead-in won’t affect that. This program has passed its preliminary stages and, lately, the episodes have become increasingly entertaining. At present, there’s nothing quite like this program on television, so I hope it gets renewed.

   Secret Life has been a flagship series for ABC FAMILY ..but it’s about that time to order a proper send off and let it go.

   @Tom

   I meant that Bunheads is a very different show than Secret Life (I assume you meant that not SAB), and that many Secret Life fans wouldn’t be very interested in sticking around and watching Bunheads.
   It would be ideal to have Bunheads and Switched At Birth head up a fall schedule with shows out of ABC Family’s mainstream brand of shows like Secret Life and PLL. They could make ABC Family a strong presence in the fall.

   Bunheads….wow!, Sasha the rebellious little brat!, totally disrespectful to her elders, girl needs a smacked bum!

   And boo! @ Giiny and Mel for nixing Boo and the dwarf dude, she likes him…leave her be!

   Sorta LOL! @ Michelle breaking down, least they showed Michelle did have feelings for Hubbell.

   0.6 is the best SyFy is gonna do now. So im gonna say there is no doubt Alphas gets picked up

    Putting Bunheads behind PLL wouldn’t get it better ratings. I love PLL but the PLL audience sticks around for that show and that show only. PLL didn’t really help The Lying Game or Jane By Design as a lead-in, so why would anyone think it could help Bunheads? It wouldn’t. Same goes for putting it behind the comedies. M&J and Baby Daddy’s ratings have not been any better than Secret Life lately. In fact, I think Baby Daddy was the lowest rated show on the network last week.
    The only show that is doing well on ABC Family right now is PLL. All the other shows are pretty even in ratings, that includes M&J and Babby Daddy(which has fallen big time over the last 2 weeks). ABC Family needs to face the fact that the only hit show they’ve got is PLL.

    You probably won’t like my answer but I would say Alphas, without a doubt is pretty much dead.
    (Pretty sure this show isn’t hitting ratings targets).

    And what exactly are you basing that prediction off of? You have provided no basis for this assessment that it isn’t hitting ratings targets (what target would that be?) You realize Alphas scored .5′s several times last summer and was renewed right? And also as I said in my previous post, Being Human was renewed earlier this year when it’s ratings bounced between .6-.7 most of the season. It seems to me that Alphas is at worst a toss up for renewal at the moment (unless you can provide some information as to why you think it “pretty much dead”).

    If Bunheads was on Wednesdays at 9 in the fall, it wouldn’t stand a chance against Modern Family, Criminal Minds and The X Factor.

    They need to let Secret Life go. I just started watching it, and I’m surprised it’s actually kind of good. But they should let it end and give it a final 6th season with 13 episodes so they can give it a proper ending. This show is doin pretty good for for a show that’s currently in it’s fifth season and only the second highest rated show on ABC Fam. right behind PLL. But all I’m sayin is that they should let this show go and give it a final season with a proper ending before it goes below 1 million viewers. Also for PLL. Give it a full, final 4th season cuz I am tired of findin out who A is. This show is getting pretty boring now.

    Secret life is only in season 5A, and it doesnt deserve a sixth season with these ratings. Season 5B starts around March and they have plenty of time to use 5B to give ita proper send-off.
    As for Bunheads, I think one of its problems is not having any known actress playing any of the teen characters, it is ABC family after all.. Gotta appeal more to their demo. Also, more young male characters can’t hurt..
