CBS Sports Network (CBSSN) for the first time tees up coverage of the PGA Championship with ON THE RANGE, a live show originating from the Tournament Practice Range of The Ocean Course. CBS Sports Network’s coverage pairs with CBS Sports’ live 18-hole broadcast of third and final-round of the 94th PGA Championship.

ON THE RANGE will air each day of the Tournament, August 9-12 (8:30-10:30 AM, ET) featuring player interviews, analysis and a preview of the day’s action. Grant Boone, Brian Crowell and Bobby Clampett will host the show each day.

CBS Sports Network’s PGA Championship programming also includes encore airings of CBS Sports’ third and final-round broadcasts of the 2012 Tournament, as well as classic PGA Championships from years past. The third round encore presentation will air Saturday, Aug. 11 (10:00 PM-3:00 AM, ET) and the fourth round encore will air Monday, Aug. 13 (12:00-5:00 AM, ET). Jim Nantz’s comparisons of McIlroy to Tiger Woods were ridiculous. Stating that his red shirt on Sunday was like Woods was insulting to McIlroy. Then he actually stated that something McIlroy did was “Tigeresque”.

Woods was a good golfer that moved up very fast and crashed just as fast. The media and people like Nantz are so enamored with Woods and seem to be unable to let him go. Whether winning or losing, Woods get more coverage than any other golfer in a tournament.

Move on people. When and if Woods is winning, give him some TV time, otherwise, focus on the present and the real winners.
