“CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD” IS THE #1 SUNDAY MORNING NEWS PROGRAM IN HOUSEHOLDS, VIEWERS AND ADULTS 25-54

CBS SUNDAY MORNING WITH CHARLES OSGOOD was the #1 Sunday morning news program in households, viewers and adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for August 5. CBS SUNDAY MORNING posted a 3.0/09 with 4.18m viewers and a 1.1/06 in adults 25-54. CBS SUNDAY MORNING was even in both households and adults 25-54 compared to the same day last year.

 

Television year-to-date, CBS SUNDAY MORNING was up +3% in households (3.6/10 from 3.5/10) and +8% in adults 25-54 (1.4/07 from 1.3/07) compared to last year.

 

Sunday’s broadcast featured Susan Spencer’s exploration into the trend of people living alone; Richard Schlesinger’s visit to an area of West Virginia where no radio signals are allowed as a way to protect the National Radio Astronomy Observatory; Tracy Smith’s look at natives of the Canary Islands who still use whistling as a language; and Martha Teichner’s trip to New York State’s Thousand Islands to find the secret behind who whipped up the famed salad dressing.

 

CBS SUNDAY MORNING is broadcast Sundays (9:00-10:30 AM, ET) on the CBS Television Network. Rand Morrison is the executive producer.
