60 MINS edits out Ryan talking about Medicare mom in Florida…
FNC FNR: CITIES GOING BROKE 1,142 224 432 very good numbers
They might as well just turn the lights and cameras off on Fridays, maybe run debate reruns?
I’d make an ad with this video and run it 10 times a day until election day.
*President Obama Hailed Rep. Ryan’s ‘Roadmap’ As an ‘Entirely Legitimate Proposal’
“I think Paul [Ryan], for example, the head of the Budget Committee, has looked at the budget and has made a serious proposal. I’ve read it. I can tell you what’s in it. And there are some ideas in there that I would agree with but there are some ideas we should have a healthy debate about because I don’t agree with them,” said President Obama in 2010 at a GOP Retreat in Baltimore.
“I just want to point out that I’ve read it, and the basic idea would be that, at some point, we hold Medicare cost per recipient constant as a way of making sure that that doesn’t go way out of whack, and I’m sure there are some details,” the president said.
“As I said before, this is an entirely legitimate proposal the president said”
I’m shocked that Jeff or Bossy isn’t here crowing that Racheal Maddow beat Hannity in two demos. Not that she won the night. But, nice she had a good night, as she had lost her shorts every other night.
Here is Donald Trump commenting on Paul Ryan’s plan

More important spot that occured on 60 Minutes.
Saturday Romney fully endorsed his VP’s extreme economic plan, less than a day later on Sunday Romney stated on 60 Minutes.
” I have my own plan ”
Another big flip flop and slap to his VP candidate.
DES MOINES — Paul Ryan’s first solo campaign trip since joining the Republican presidential ticket was a little like baptism by fire, as he was heckled at the state fair’s legendary soapbox.
There was no easing into things with a tightly controlled campaign event like the ones typically held by Mitt Romney. Instead, Ryan was dispatched to the Des Moines Register’s soapbox here at the Iowa State Fair, a site where heckling is almost always expected, and where Romney himself last year had a terse exchange with an attendee over Medicare and Social Security, and made the infamous claim that “corporations are people.”

Monkey see monkey do!!!
Republican vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan said Sunday that he will release two years of his tax returns, the same as Mitt Romney, but ducked a question about how many years of returns he had turned over to Romney campaign officials as part of the vetting process.
“Well, it — it was a very exhaustive vetting process. It’s a confidential vetting process, so there were several years. But I’m going to release the same amount of years that Gov. Romney has,” Ryan, the Republican Wisconsin congressman, told CBS News veteran Bob Schieffer on “60 Minutes” in GOP ticket’s first joint interview since Romney announced his VP pick.
Yeah good idea!! Keep Open the tax debate again.
Paul Ryan may have breathed new life into Mitt Romney’s presidential campaign, but he’s also rattling the congressional campaign landscape, leaving vulnerable down-ballot Republicans with an uncomfortable choice: embrace a radical new vision on entitlements or run from their party’s national ticket.
Republicans hailing from Democratic-leaning districts, like Illinois Rep. Robert Dold and Massachusetts candidate Richard Tisei, are trying to create some distance from the Ryan worldview. Other congressional Republicans in tight races, like New York’s Ann Marie Buerkle and Florida’s Allen West are launching into vigorous defenses of their votes for the Ryan budget, which proposes partial privatization of Medicare by offering subsidies for seniors to purchase insurance.

SHARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh, sorry, I’m watching Shark Week. Kind of reminds me of politics these days
http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=OGnE83A1Z4U
@Jeff
Looks like you and Apple have to put up with the heat for a few weeks, Jet stream has shifted and we’re in a cool slot, now they are even saying we may not even see 90 more than 3 days into Fall.
I truly hope you don’t get what we went through some weeks ago, it was rough. At 2PM today with light showers it was only 68. Bumped up to 82 with the sunshine, but more rain and cooler tomorrow.
And guys? Don’t let the election give ya gas. Watch Shark Week and take a break. Rats will be buying all the free beer
It only took two hours after the Paul Ryan vice presidential announcement for Republican congressional candidates to get their talking points on how to spin the Ryan budget and Medicare attacks.
“Do not say: ‘entitlement reform,’ ‘privatization,’ ‘every option is on the table,’” the National Republican Congressional Committee said in an email memo. “Do say: ‘strengthen,’ ‘secure,’ ‘save,’ ‘preserve, ‘protect.’”
The email read like a warning shot, alerting Republicans that they would soon face a barrage of Medicare-themed attacks and telling them they needed to be ready for the scrutiny that was to come. The internal email, obtained by POLITICO, was a clear and immediate sign that Republicans knew Ryan could create trouble down ballot for GOP candidates in tight congressional races.

@coffee.
Supposed to cool down on Wednesday out here a little. I will be going to Palm Springs on Thursday, to host a good friend for a few days, so instead of it being 116 it will be more like 109. Yikes!! Will be back in LA on Sunday for a 26th wedding anniversary party for ZsaZsa and Prince Fredrick in Bel Air. Should be interesting.
Was in Palm Springs yesterday for a few hours, my pool water was like warm bath water at 90, not very refreshing at all.
I need a couple of giant ice cubes
@Jeff
When you get to Palm Springs, smack anyone who brings up politics
@Coffee Steve: Was “Madcow” even on Friday, or was it an Olympic event?
Zsa Zsa and Prince Frederick’s 26 anniversary party! Good God y’all. This boy is truly delusional.
We cant afford thes “working” bailouts!!
Treasury: U.S. to lose $25 billion on auto bailout
Washington -The Treasury Department says in a new report the government expects to lose more than $25 billion on the $85 billion auto bailout. That’s 15 percent higher than its previous forecast.
In a monthly report sent to Congress on Friday, the Obama administration boosted its forecast of expected losses by more than $3.3 billion to almost $25.1 billion, up from $21.7 billion in the last quarterly update.
The report may still underestimate the losses. The report covers predicted losses through May 31, when GM’s stock price was $22.20 a share.
On Monday, GM stock fell $0.07, or 0.3 percent, to $20.47. At that price, the government would lose another $850 million on its GM bailout.
The government still holds 500 million shares of GM stock and needs to sell them for about $53 each to recover its entire $49.5 billion bailout. At the current price, the Treasury would lose more than $16 billion on its GM bailout.
@Ralph Hahn
Howdy, I wasn’t here Friday Ralph, I have no idea who was on what or where LOL
*Unrelenting heat wave prompts energy warning in CA…
With the state’s heat wave expected to continue through the week, the California Independent System Operator has once again issued a flex alert, a call for customers to conserve power to avoid outages.
