   @The Real Original Ray: the thing with Covert Affairs is it’s still on now and still airing originals the next few weeks before taking a few weeks off once the broadcast networks start their season.

   How do we know that Guys With Kids, The Neighbors and Chicago Fire will be duds (yes the Neighbors does look terrible) but it’s not just what the critics think, it’s the ratings that count. Also actually FOX renewed 2 shows (New Girl and Touch). And what second show on The CW was renewed (Remodeled, Ringer, TSC cancelled, Hart of Dixie renewed).

   I count the LA Complex as a renewal for the CW.

   And I said that The Neighbors, GWK, and Chicago Fire were duds because they were the only shows I thought would be canceled within the first few weeks (like Man Up, The Playboy Club, Charlie’s Angels, etc. from last year). When I label a show as a dud, I was referring to how I think the ratings would be, not the quality.

   A rule to avoid some shows:

   A big city or a profession’s name in the title.

   I’d add a laugh-track sitcom to that list.

    I’m not a professional, but here’s my opinions:

    Revolution-
    A big opening, 3.0 or over, but mellowing down over the next few weeks like Once Upon a Time did last year. So it’ll be a hit.

    Nashville-
    This will also have a big opening, because of its Modern Family lead-in, but will also mellow out over the next few weeks. It will probably be a bubble show, as Wed @ 10 pm is a trouble slot for ABC. Critical love might help it. Mid-to-high 2s.

    Last Resort-
    A HUGE question mark. It’s one of the most looked-forward to dramas of the fall, by both critics and fans, but it’s got that pesky Thursday @ 8 death slot, arguably the worst slot on all of the networks. Nothing on ABC has worked there in decades, except Winter/Spring Wipeout. It could break the timeslot curse, but it will be on the bubble from the beginning.

    Go On-
    Will be the biggest hit of the season. Olympic sneak peek + Voice lead in + critical love = Victory! High 3s, maybe 4s.

    The New Normal-
    The Go On lead-in will help its sampling, critics love it, and Modern Family has proven that a comedy like this will appeal to a broad audience. Low to mid-3s.

    The Mindy Project-
    Will benefit from a New Girl lead-in and critical acclaim. It will appeal to it’s lead-in’s audience. It will do well, low to mid-2s, retaining 80-90% of its lead-in.

    I’ve realised that I will be watching 53 shows from this schedule alone! (So not including summer shows or Australian shows) I am curious to see if there’s anyone out there who watches more than I do haha.

    As expected, ABC is running recap specials of both of its Sunday dramas during premiere week.

    Revenge – Wednesday, 26 September @ 10pm

    Once Upon a Time – Sunday, 30 September @ 7pm

    I am disappointed that cbs is not bringing unforgettablse back. It is an awesomely written and performed showed! Well rounded,human and undercover boss is a joke. Please its an hour of advertising for a company. Enough! Let us have unforgettagle back! Carrie is not done.

    @Lesley, CBS is bringing Unforgettable back. It’s currently slated for next summer but I won’t be surprised if they move it up to Spring to plug a hole.
