Nielsen TV Ratings: ©2012 The Nielsen Company. All Rights Reserved.
Definitions:
Fast Affiliate Ratings: These first national ratings, including demographics, are available at approximately 11 AM (ET) the day after telecast, and are released to subscribing customers daily. These data, from the National People Meter sample, are strictly time-period information, based on the normal broadcast network feed, and include all programming on the affiliated stations, sometimes including network programming, sometimes not. The figures may include stations that did not air the entire network feed, as well as local news breaks or cutaways for local coverage or other programming. Fast Affiliate ratings are not as useful for live programs and are likely to differ significantly from the final results, because the data reflect normal broadcast feed patterns. For example, with a World Series game, Fast Affiliate Ratings would include whatever aired from 8-11PM on affiliates in the Pacific Time Zone, following the live baseball game, but not game coverage that begins at 5PM PT. The same would be true of Presidential debates as well as live award shows and breaking news reports.
Rating: Estimated percentage of the universe of TV households (or other specified group) tuned to a program in the average minute. Ratings are expressed as a percent.
Share (of Audience): The percent of households (or persons) using television who are tuned to a specific program, station or network in a specific area at a specific time. (See also, Rating, which represents tuning or viewing as a percent of the entire population being measured.)
Time Shifted Viewing – Program ratings for national sources are produced in three streams of data – Live, Live+Same Day (Live+SD) and Live+7 Day. Time shifted figures account for incremental viewing that takes place with DVRs. Live+Same Day (Live+SD) include viewing during the same broadcast day as the original telecast, with a cut-off of 3:00AM local time when meters transmit daily viewing to Nielsen for processing. Live+7 Day ratings include incremental viewing that takes place during the 7 days following a telecast.

Any numbers for Animal Practice?
What about ‘Animal Practice’ preview after the Games?
Total viewers would be appreciated.
I completely forgot about Big Brother last night…Dang Olympics.
Wasn’t Animal Practice from 10:38?
@ABCDEF
Nope. Plans changed.
It started at 10:58.
FYI here in Canada it ran from 10:30 to 11 (with commercials).
@Jeff, @ Sergi, @ABCDEF
Perhaps we’ll get something, if NBC puts out a press release. According to the data I have, it aired at 10:58PM, before the conclusion of the Closing Ceremonies, so it isn’t automatically included as part of the nightly data we received for the evening (well, save for the two minutes included as part of the 10-11PM hour). If we get anything though I’ll be sure to post it here.
NO THE OLYMPICS ARE OVER! NO……………….
NOTHING ON TV NOW!
I think “Animal Practice” will do well for NBC. Since Joanne Garcia Switcher and Reba are BFF’s, I hope Reba makes a guest appearance. On another note there was Olympic Competation up to the closing ceromonies and NBC did not cover many of the events instead they showed a retropective. I think the best of the closing ceromonies were the parts shown at late nite, Too bad NBC decided not to show them in prime time b/c I feel the numbers would have been greater. I would have liked to see “Animal Practice” further delayed to show the entire closing ceromonies.
Awesome, thanks Amanda!
I wonder how well it did. I admit it was a little too quick with the dialog sometimes but I can see it getting better in the future.
I am going to miss the Olympics more than ever, they gave me a reason to actually pay attention to my television for hours and hours everyday.

Guesses for Grimm??
My hope at least is that the season average is higher then season 1.
Tonight, maybe 6 million and 2.3 in the demo
The funniest part of Animal Practice was the first 15 seconds and it wasn’t even a part of the story. I can’t believe NBC wasted the post-Olympics slot to this show.
I am going to miss the Olympics, this year’s edition was so good and the Closing Ceremonies was better than usual too as it was way better than their Opening Ceremony which was a mess to me. It felt like a big concert last night but I a m bit disappointed like most people were that a lot of acts got cut off. I don’t understand why NBC didn’t just buy out that 11pm hour to finish up and show Animal Practice on Wednesday behind Go On.
Speaking of Animal Practice, what a weak show that is and its going to be their biggest flop more than likely. The bad press and attention its getting its not good for the show either.
SPICE UP YOUR LIFE
EVERY BODY EVERY GIRL
SPICE UP YOUR LIFE!
@Leon The Spice Girls were actually pretty good! lol
All looking great aswell
I find it strange Romney and Ryan did their first media interview on an episode of 60 Minutes which clashed with the Olympics. Surely waiting a week would have maximized their press exposure?
