I hope this isn’t a trainwreck like the one a few years back with that Osmond twit. DISASTER!

  • me

OK, now can you list the names of the celebrities? Because I”ve never heard of any of these people.

  • TV Gord

You don’t get out much, do you, me?

Anyhoo, I hope when they say they are going back to the original game, that means they’re getting rid of everything that dumbed down the show last time around. I know people are stupider today, but there have to be standards.

  • MBmomof3

My 18 year old is looking forward to this. She loves GSN, especially Family Feud. I recognize almost everyone of the celebrities listed above, so I am sure she will enjoy it. I might check it out too. Loved the Pyramid when Dick Clark hosted.

The NEW Pyramid on GSN is going to sink. This new version is not as good than the Donny Osmond hosted show back in 2002 and got canceled in 2004.

  • TV Gord

GSN would be wise to tap into the Community fanbase to promote that first week! The may be small for network TV, but huge for GSN (not to mention insanely loyal)! I know I’m posting it on Facebook to my Community friends!

  • Chris

Donny osmonds was terrible IMHO. Even if you don’t know some of these actors by name you know the faces.

  • CP

I hope they bring back the original music as well. It was always one of my favorites.

  • Jeffrey Grimshaw

Maybe it’s me, but I wouldn’t take these B to C list celebs to market.

  • Chuck

Though not familiar w/the majority of celebs, I will say that this is a more stellar lineup than what GSN had on their original shows around 02-03…back then, celebrities were typically “classic TV” stars or former reality show contestants.

  • Karen

I thought yesterday’s Pyramid was GREAT (09/19/12)! The contestant, “Irv,” was hysterical — very quick and actually had more charisma & ‘je ne sais qois’than the host of the show! Bring back IRV, lol, and congratulations on your winnings.

I have watched a few episodes, and although I love this show (watched it when I was a kid in 70’s) Danny Pudi and Lamorne Morris are idiots and totally SUCK at this game. Lamorne couldn’t give a good clue if his life depended on it. If I was a contestant and either one of them, I would be pissed and want another shot. On the rare times they got to the winners circle, it was only because either the other contestant was dumb, or their contestant was better; they had nothing to do with it. And some of the contestants I’ve seen are clueless also. Have they ever SEEN it? I was better at 7 than these people are as adults. Wish I knew they were auditioning…would have loved to have tried out.

  • Gina

I agree with you Anne. I am absolutely shocked by the carelessness and lack of skill by especially the celebrities(most). They make the contestants lose money with erroneous clues. The latest was a beauty. Winner’s circle, first block, “countries”. The celebrity was stuck for so long giving clues, “Asia….Europe…America…Africa….”. At the return with a few seconds left he continued to repeat, “Asia…”. Are you kidding me?!!!! No wonder the contestants couldn’t get it. They need to screen the celebrities for intelligence first, or at least 5th grade level schooling.
And people please, practice staying calm! Everyone is always spastic and yelling practically. And allow the contestants to stick around if they are the day’s winner. It’s bad enough the celebrities blow their chances of winning at all so at least give them a chance to return another day!!!
