   I called this one months ago. W 13 ratings will be down bigtime and probally will not get a season5. Plus Alphas will be down bigtime compared to season 1.
   And sure enough W13 has had its worst numbers since it started. They are getting about 1/2 the viewers as previous seasons. this is definatly a sign that Syfy has lost quite a few viewers by cancelling all of the good Sci-Fi shows that were on it. Plus Alphas pretty much sucked in season 1 and it is even worse in season 2. I never thought it would get sub 1 million viewers though.

   I am actually very happy to see Syfy doing so poorly. maybe they will finally see the writing on the wall that we are sick of getting our favorite shows cancelled for all these new “reality type” shows.

   who cares about all this ghost , paranormal, and now collector shows.

   The network now totally sucks. I never thought that W13 wouls be this bad this season. It has really been bad so far this season!

   Our last hope for Syfy “decent” numbers are Haven’s. It premieres 9/21 in the Friday 10pm death slot. I use that term because that’s where Sanctuary went to die. Still sad about that…

   Why does Syfy (the proud parent of Battlestar Galactica, Stargate, Eureka, Warehouse 13, Farscape and more) continuously seem to be separating from “science fiction”? They spend all their money on horrid movie-of-the-weeks. Why not do something constructive? Science fiction set Syfy apart from other networks, but, with all this sports & reality programming, they are now becoming indistinguishable from, say, Lifetime or TBS. What will set them apart down the road? Scare Tactics? Hollywood Paranormal? It’s a shame, yet it’s happening.

   I’m almost certain Warehouse 13 will get a final season, without any doubt.

   But to correct, Warehouse isn’t getting half the viewers of previous seasons, it was averaging a little over 2 million viewers prior, but is roughly around 1.6 million, so technically its lost about a million at most. But as these aren’t actual viewers, and when you consider how much each Nielsen box is potentially worth. Syfy just needs to win back a small amount of households.

   You’re right. I agree with this point, virtually every Paranormal show besides the original Ghost Hunters is rating poorly on the network, but most will end up being renewed i.e Destination Truth. Josh Gates has that relationship with the network and to be honest he’l be around for a while.

   What amazes me is how well Haven performs on that slot, if anything it worrys me should the decision be made to move it, probably when it gets a Season 4. That it’l end up dying a horrible death like Alphas.

   But unlike Sanctuary Merlin didn’t die in that slot, it has grown to become one of the most popular scripted shows on Syfy, a proper fantasy series with 2 million followers. (1.7 million was the overnight average of season 4.) Season 5 will start in January.
