Univision Ranks as the #2 Broadcast Network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34

Network is #2 Among Both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 Every Weeknight and During 9 p.m. and 10 p.m. Hours Monday-Friday

“La Que No Podia Amar” Grand Finale Averages 5.8 Million Viewers 2+ and 3 Million Adults 18-49

Univision Broadcast Prime Highlights – Week of August 6, 2012 to August 12, 2012

 

  • Univision ranked as the #2 broadcast network among Adults 18-49 last week, out-delivering ABC (+64%), FOX (+63%), and CBS (+50%). This marks the ninth time in the last ten weeks that Univision has ranked as the #3 network or higher among Adults 18-49.

 

  • Univision was the #2 network during primetime last week among Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC (+122%), CBS (+156%), and FOX (+71%). For the 13th consecutive week, Univision has ranked as the #2 network or higher among A18-34.

 

  • Univision finished the week as the #3 network among Total Viewers 2+, out-delivering FOX (+68%) and ABC (+24%) for the week.

 

  • Univision out-delivered three or more of the English-language broadcast networks (ABC, CBS, NBC or FOX) on five out of seven nights last week among both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

ü  Based on the current 2011/2012 season to date, Univision has out-performed NBC during broadcast prime 72% of the time (236 out of 329 days) among Adults 18-34 and 50% of the time (165 out of 329 days) among Adults 18-49.

ü  Additionally Univision has out-performed ABC on 117 nights, CBS on 104 nights, and FOX on 96 nights among Adults 18-49. Furthermore, among Adults 18-34, Univision has out-performed ABC on 211 nights, CBS on 242 nights, and FOX on 129 nights.

 

  • Univision kicked off the week on Monday as the #2 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS and FOX in both demographics. Univision’s entire primetime lineup also ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.

 

  • On Tuesday night Univision maintained its #2 rank among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34, out-delivering ABC, CBS and FOX for the second consecutive night this week. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.

 

  • On Wednesday night, Univision held the #2 network rank among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 for the third consecutive night this week. Univision out-delivered ABC, CBS and FOX in both demographics and its primetime lineup ranked within the top 5 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • For the fourth consecutive night this week Univision finished as the #2 network among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both demographics.

 

  • On Friday night Univision ranked as the #2 network among Total Viewers 2+, Adults 18-49, and Adults 18-34.  Univision’s entire primetime lineup ranked among the top 5 programs for both Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34 demographics.

ü  Univision delivered 5.2 Million Total Viewers 2+, more viewers than FOX (+129%), CBS (+72%), and ABC (+41%). This is the third consecutive week that Univision has held the #2 position among Total Viewers 2+

ü  2.7 Million Adults 18-49 tuned into Univision on Friday night, +261% more Adults 18-49 viewers than FOX, +255% more than CBS, and +115% more than ABC.

ü  Univision also held a triple digit advantage among Adults 18-34 delivering 1.5 Million viewers, +359% more Adults 18-34 viewers than FOX, +232% more than ABC+, and 685% more than CBS.

 

  • On Saturday night, airing “Sabado Gigante” (Giant Saturday), Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-34, out-delivering CBS (+46%) and ABC (+38%).  Airing against the Olympics, “Sabado Gigante” averaged 2 Million Total Viewers 2+, 708,000 Adults 18-49, and 339,000 Adults 18-34. “Sabado Gigante” also ranked among the top 10 programs among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.

 

  • On Sunday night Univision ranked as the #3 network among Adults 18-34.

ü  Airing “Pequeños Gigantes 2” at 8 p.m. (opposite Olympics Closing Ceremonies), the talent competition averaged 3.1 Million Total Viewers 2+, 1.4 Million Adults 18-49, and 744,000 Adults 18-34. “Pequeños Gigantes 2” helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the week among Kids 2-11 and Teens 12-17.

 

  • At 8 p.m., Univision’s novela “Por Ella Soy Eva” (For Her, I’m Eva) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.  “Por Ella Soy Eva” increased its viewership from last week, averaging 3.4 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+22%), 1.8 Million Adults 18-49 (+24%), and 1.0 Million Adults 18-34 (+26%).

 

  • Univision’s 9 p.m. novela “Abismo de Pasion” (Abysm of Passion) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  “Abismo de Pasion” increased its viewership from last week, averaging 4.2 Million Total Viewers 2+ (+4%), 2.0 Million Adults 18-49 (+6%), and 1.1 Million Adults 18-34 (+9%).

 

  • In its final week, Univision’s 10 p.m. novela “La Que No Podia Amar” (The One Who Couldn’t Love) helped Univision rank as the #2 network for the hour (M-F) among Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34.  The grand finale, airing Friday 9-11P, averaged 5.8 million Total Viewers 2+, 3 million Adults 18-49 and 1.6 million Adults 18-34.

ü  The finale increased its audience in the second hour among Total Viewers 2+ (+19%), Adults 18-34 (+24%) and Adults 18-49 (+22%).

ü  Ranked as the #2 program of the night (behind NBC’s “2012 Summer Olympics”) across all Viewers 2+, Adults 18-34, and Adults 18-49.

ü  Made Univision the #2 network in the 9 pm to 11 pm time slot as well as for the entire night among all Viewers 2+, Persons 12-34, Adults 18-34 and Adults 18-49.
