Teen Mom was Tuesday's top cable original, earning a 1.6 18-49 rating. The season finale of Rizzoli & Isles came in second place, earning a 1.3 rating.

@ john a oh idk about that. The cw has had way more shows flop. And the shows they keep can’t hold strong ratings, at least abcfamilys shows hold steady ratings. All the cw shows besides supernatural have aweful ratings. Abcfamily shows beat them every night. The only shows the cw had in my opinion that were good was oth and gilmore girls. Since those shows they haven’t had anything good. And vd is not that good of a show, nor is nakita that sucks actually. Abcfamily has the lying game which gets pretty good numbers, switched at birth gets good numbers, pll kicks ass. And then you have the lower performing shows like secret life which has been a hit on the network for years till recently, and bunheads which is holding steady ratings, and then melissa and joey does well for the comedy section. Abcfamily is a better network. The cw should call it quits before someone makes them. This year is going to do that network in. They got rid of every good show they had and the new ones sound aweful and stupid. I bet most get cancelled by end of 1st season. They sound so bad.

Lying Game bunheads secret life and Jane by design barely get a million and a 0.5 demo. CW has Nikita Hart GG getting the same flop numbers.
Classic White Collar last night. All the elements that make the show great were there:a mystery, a shadowy figure, an art heist, characters keeping secrets from one another, and more Peter and Neal chemistry than you can shake a stick at. I really love this season.
PLL did goood last night. R and I did really good for its end of summer run. Oh and if you did not know starting next week TNT will start showing it at 11 AM.

I would wait an see where the story is headed. I doubt finding the dad is the real arc as it was evident last night. There’s more going on behind the scene and if the writers do this right it has the potential of becoming a great season, much better than the ones we had with music boxes and hidden treasures. also remember Fowler and Adler weren’t revealed at the beginning of their seasons so I’m certain there is a villain waiting in the trenches to be unveiled at some point.
Secret Life really shouldn’t be grouped with TLG Bunheads and JBD. Yes its ratings are terrible right now but it kept great ratings for 4 seasons. It lost its luster over the years, that happens to every show that’s been around for a while. Secret Life, PLL and Greek are the shows that put ABC Family on the map. TLG, Bunheads, and JBD are barely scraping by a 0.5 rating in season 1. The first couple seasons of a show are usually the highest and the ratings go down from there. What does that tell you about the future of those 3 shows.

I couldn’t post a comment because I had the word N.A.Z.I there in the context of “N.a.Z.i treasure.” That’s not even an offensive word in itself to filter so extensively as to not let an entire post to show up. I’m thoroughly confused.
Nice job R&I it seemed to do better as time went on with the exception of the one against the Olympics. It actually skewd younger then the new Major Crimes. I think it does good for TNT and will be around for a little while if it keeps this up.
Secret Life was a beast in its prime. This show, like most ran its course.

Secret Life is only in its 5th season people act like its the 10th season. Same for Gossip Girl. Both faded quickly.
Still good to see PLL doing well, although I will agree that I’m starting to get a little bored with the “A” storyline. Time to solve the mystery and move onto something new.
I also agree that Secret Life cannot be grouped into the flops for ABC Family. The show was a massive hit for the network for almost 4 years. It just recently started to lose its luster, but that’s expected for a show half way into its 5th season. Jane By Design, The Lying Game, and Bunheads get the same ratings and those shows are just in their 1st seasons. As someone else said, what does that tell you about the future of those 3 shows!
Any word on if TNT plans to bring back FRANKLIN & BASH? I love that show, but it doesn’t seem to have very good retention from R&I.

Shows typically start to decrease in their ratings in their 4th season. Most shows only pull in really good ratings in the first 3 seasons. I love PLL but do I really expect to still pull in over 2 million viewers and a 0.9 demo in its 5th season(if it makes it that long)? Heck no. If it does make it that long it will have numbers similar to Secret Life and Gossip Girl.
Not all shows end at season 5 is all im saying. OTH SPN and Smallvile on CW are proof of that.

Cw &abcfamily are a lot alike_both target teens/young adults,especially young women, they both have one show that regularly gets 1.0 or better in demo and over 2 million viewers_ only one show and the rest of thier shows get 0.4_0.7 if lucky with a little over million viewers,both have mostly shows about teens.Cw&abcfamily are my favorite & most watched networks/channels tohough im 31.They both have good showd_abcfamily I watched/liked :Wildfire,Nine Lives of Chloe King,Bunheads,PLL,Jane by Design,Lying Game,Make it or Break it.CW I watched/enjoyed: Gilmore Girls,OTH,7th Heaven(though season 11 was awful and the show wasnt as good or the same after season 5),Life is Wild,Life Unexpected,Gossip Girl,90210,Hellcats,Beautiful Life,Melrose Place 2009,Secret Circle,Vampire Diaries,Nikita(season one was way better),Americas Next Top Model,Plain Jane,Breaking Pointe,Privliged,Hart of Dixie, & I plan to watch Carrie Diaries &Emily Owens MD this season.Both networks have good shows but you sound bitter about the cancellation of shows you like and put down ones you dont like for ones you do_saying Nine Lives & Jane by Design sucked from day one but Lying Game is/was soo great_well Lying Game wont last past its first episodes of season two and its ratings in season one were awful just like Jane by Designs and the 10 month hiatus and being on against very heavy broadcast network competition wont help Lying Game and niether will its lead in_, Pll and Secret Life or Switched at Birth didnt help it last season.
