   One other thing I am confused on and I put this on the R&I press release too but this one seems more active.

   For R&I: Why is everyone always going on about the 18-49 demo on it? Yes,compared to the amount of viewers it gets it does skew older but that is like most police procedurals on TNT I beleive. The fact is it was getting 1.2′s most recently (accept for the one episode during the Olympics) and this episode got a 1.3 for a basic cable scripted drama I think that is pretty good, correct? I have seen other shows pulling the 1.2 and 1.3 and people say it is great. I just do not understand why some (not saying people on here) say it is not when they talk about R&I. A 1.1, 1.2 or 1.3 is just that wether it has 6 million or 2 million. Yes, it means it skews old but my point is the demo is still good even if it does have a lot more total viewers it is still pulling a decent 1.1, 1.2 and now a 1.3 in the important demo am I wrong???

   Because compared to many cable shows its demo is low. Just in S1 it used to get 1.5-1.6 in the demo, while many other cable shows couldn’t.

   Even last summer it used to get higher demo, save for the finale, though to be fair it was against the first NFL game of the season and that affected it (like it did with The Closer). Last year the penultimate episode which was against “normal” competition got a 1.3, a number that it hit several times during the summer run, while this year they only got that for the finale.

   Not saying that the demo is not decent, but that’s it.

   Yes, being a bland police procedural makes it skew older. It will never skew young and that’s why it will always be a decent but not great performer. You should search here the 18-34 breakdown for all the USA and TNT shows as of 2010, and boy, TNT shows do skew very old.

   Some TNT procedurals have almost the same demo of R&I, but in their defense they are aging shows almost at the end of their run or ended (The Closer, Leverage. FYI, check Leverage first years ratings, they were higher than R&I)

   As I wrote in another post, all TNT shows are down versus the previous year. The same it’s happening for USA too.

   People say that shows like Breaking Bad are getting great ratings, despite being on the 1.2-1.3 rating because 1)the channel they are on gets much crappier ratings than that with their other originals, so the show stands out (not to mention that for most of its run Breaking Bad is against network and football competition) 2)it’s up vs the previous year (I don’t think BB ever had such high rating before and it’s a show in its 5th season
   3) A show like that getting such ratings proves that there is still hope for tv. It’s clearly a show done for a reason,with a story to tell, unlike all the same procedurals.

   Nah SAB wont beat PLL. It did have good ratings in season 1 but it dropped alot towards the end of the last run.

   There is no way S@B will beat PLL. Don’t forget about the big hit it took between its first and second installments. I do hope it recovers from that but I definitely don’t think it will go back up to PLL’s numbers

   R&I kicking some ass. Wow. Don’t really watch regularly but i do catch it on repeats if i have an hour to kill.

   Anyway, glad to see White Collar holding steady. I really enjoyed the episode. I think it was my favorite of the season so far. I think this season is shaping up to be amazing personally. I love getting more back story on Neal. The mystery with his father has got my interest peaked just enough. I don’t mind that they went the distrust route again with P/N because I felt like they flowed it well with episode. It made since. Also Peter is out right distrusting him… He is just not positive what to think and with good reason too. Anyway, i thought it was a fantastic written episode.

   Covert affairs.- I dunno anymore. Im just losing interest. I can’t help it.
