eggmanbill,
I’m with you on this one: Laura I. is monotone and just plain boring, mean streak too…. Unwatchable….I agree. Ditto for that awful SE Cupp and her voice is gravely and unpleasant on MSNBC. She is bringing that show down.
d.d. I agree, that MO person needs to go. What a disgrace and woman will be running faster, away from the repubs. What makes repubs. think woman want to return to the 50′s? Later.
@ TheBoss1
“Akin is a window into the soul of conservatives.”
This is why I dismiss your comments for the mere contempt that they are.
@ Mark
I give you that it is stupid, but that is what these guys do. WIth your logic, there would be noone left in eithr house. Imagine what we don’t catch on film/tape etc… But being a mere congrassmen (of 425?), it is up to his constituents to care and remove him from office. If his comments are condoned by Romney’s camp, the left may do better in Nov.
@Mark
If Canada or Mexico were developing Nuclear weapons and they every day said they were going to use them against us, would you say we had a right to preemptive attack? And if Israel were a lifelong ally, you wouldn’t want them to be on our side? To me that’s oxymoronic Mark.
I respect your opinion Mark, it just doesn’t make sense to me, but it’s cool
@TheBoss1
Akin is a window into the soul of conservatives.
Really? (See my previous post on subject)
Hey, you see where Scott Mckenzie died (If Your Going To San Francisco) We’re losing them quick Boss dude.
*New York Times environmental reporter Elisabeth Rosenthal’s wants us all to turn off our Air Conditioners
@Coffee … Yes, I did notice that you and d.d. rebuked Akin’s remarks. I was impressed.
Conservatives do not believe in exceptions for rape or incest. Now we know why. “Legitimate” rape or “forcible” rape does not result in pregancies.
Steve, “it’s only our bodies that fail us in the end.”
@Steve
I believe that if you want to take the moral high ground you don’t attack on the basis of unproven evidence. Look at Iraq, how did that pre-emptive attack go for us? Fighting Iran is the exact same thing(although I am guessing that those who are all for it will say no this time it’s somehow different)
The country is already in an economic crisis and some people want to add another trillion dollar war to out budget? I am sorry I don’t want to go to another war on the basis that it will benefit some groups(ie lobbyists for weapon manufacturers, AIPAC, etc)
Can’t we all just get along?
Mr. Akin; do not listen to the republican big shots who are asking you to get out of the race. Your remarks are a big time gift to all democrats.
You were perhaps only repeating words which have been spoken by Paul Ryan.
Keep up the good work.
You are much loved by the left.
@TheBoss1
Steve, “it’s only our bodies that fail us in the end.”
My Brain was the first to fail me years ago
@Mark
Iraq, how did that pre-emptive attack go for us?
I don’t think you we’re on years ago; I never supported the Iraq war.. Not enough evidence for me to attack, there we’re some indications, but you verify first before taking lives.
I just feel the Israel situation is different, we have been a strong ally of that democracy and the strongest ally we have in the middle east, and Iran is nuts enough to carry out what they say they will. If Iran is left un-checked Mark, the consequence of not doing something may turn out to be more than any of us imagine.
And you may not believe this, but most of the countries over there, Saudi Arabia etc. Would like nothing more, than Iran to dis-appear. Iran doesn’t want just a war with Israel Mark, they want Global war.
PS: @ Mark
I’m not sure if your aware of this
The UN has already got evidence on Iran Mark, Including Plutonium traces, that was discovered last year. Those traces can only be if they in fact we’re enriching for the rods, and weapons grade Plutonium.
@Steve
What right does a country that has enough nuclear weapons to bomb the earth 9 times over have to tell a country they can’t have 1 nuclear weapon? It should also be added Israel has nuclear weapons(mainly at the expense of the US taxpayer) should we attack them?
Until Iran does anything worthy of us attacking them, the US loses any moral high ground they have attacking them pre-emptively on the basis of speculation or some other country who we dish out hundreds of billions of dollars to forcing us into.
@Mark
What right does a country that has enough nuclear weapons to bomb the earth 9 times over have to tell a country they can’t have 1 nuclear weapon
Because we nor Israel has ever threatened to use them to wipe anyone off the face of the Earth Mark. Plus Iran did sign a treaty, plus if Iran gets them? Then look for Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lybia, Jordan, Iraq, Egypt etc. to start mass producing Nukes too. Now that would be real fun, right?
Have a good night Everyone, time for this Kentucky Boy to hit the sack, My Daughter and are are walking to McDonalds early am (2 miles) for the fun of it.
Peace
I read the posts about Akin’s views being a window into the soul of conservatives. I heard Frank Rich echo the same thoughts on Maddow’s show.
That is like saying the nut who tryed to kill people at Family Research is a window into the soul of progressives.
Akin didn’t rape or attempt to kill anyone. His views are his own.
I watched the lib. media go wild trying to make political hay out of the incident tonight. The President is in big trouble. He has lost his lead and the country is in terrible shape. The left is desperate to paint the entire conservative movement with Akin’s views.
Will they be successful. Yes I believe they will. I don’t think they will be able to erase Obama’s miserable failures but they will be able to sway some people away from the alternative. That’s what this is all about.
Like d.d. said Akin should get out. I came out early this morning after hearing what he had said and stated that he should go. Other conservatives on the site stated the same.
One of the posters said that Akin was not listening to the big bosses in the GOP. They are not the only ones who want him out. The rank and file of the conservative movement want him out. He does not represent our views.

I hear this window into the souls of conservatives echoed in the lib. media and left wing talk shows.
I expect more from the lefties on this site. You know a lot of the conservatives on this site and I would hope that you think more of us than that.
Try to remember that I came out early after that nut tryed to kill people at Family Research and said you can not paint the left with the actions of one nut job.
To anyone who who works the numbers on this website:
How can FNC (the FOX News Channel) LEAD the ratings in EVERY time slot EVERY day, but still come in THIRD for NUMBER OF HOUSEHOLDS (HH) viewing?! Seems there’s a conflict somewhere.

The numbers at the bottom of the post are the number of households that subscribed to the various cable news networks as of the date shown. They are not daily ratings or viewership.

Not sure that is a good comparison, i think what you said would be more akin to comparing all Pro Life people to the ones that go out and kill abrtion doctors
All that being said I don’t believe most republicans feel the way Akin does, that being said I do think the republicans at times pander to a very small minority of people who might have similar style thinking(hence Akin coming out with strong rhetoric)
