Wait I don’t think that makes much sense.
anyone have inbetweeners ratings?
Inbetweeners
913,000 total viewers
0.4 18-49 demo
Hooray RHONY!!
@Neil
Nope. But don’t have the time to type up a long detailed explaination, someone else might.
@Neil
@ 0.6 18-49 rating means that 0.6% of the total people ages 18-49 in the US were watching.
@The End
I guess you were right.
@the end i like alphas,you think it can make it to 5 seasons?
Alphas did decently considering they moved it and it had no lead in, i think it will be renewed, have a feeling they are going to go:
Alphas – 8
Warehouse 13 – 9
Defiance – 10
in April.
Or some other order maybe but those three.
When i saw Alan Ruck in the credits i thought ASP had lost her mind and Bunheads would jump the shark, i thought the touted Hubbell twin theory or his death was faked would become reality, thankfully it was a dream sequence.
I thought they sent out a casting call for Hubbells brother…..?
Anywhoo….lol @ Michelle macing the entire ballet company, hillarious stuff!….but thankfully they grounded the after effects in reality, if that HAD happened…multiple lawsuits!
So Michelle running for Vegas makes sense, did they refrence Dead Poets Society thing with the “my captain” thing?
Single ladies slightly up for the finale, i have no doubt season 3 is locked in…but maybe VH1 wanna penny pinch and get it cheaper.
Alphas kinda sucked last night, but they did seem to introduce the season long story arc.. as expected it’s a real Twitter account:

I think it is still too soon to call on how Major Crimes will do. I watched the first to episodes and did not think it’s as good as The Closer. Why all the bad talk about DALLAS? DALLAS is actually a fun show too watch. Well made and acted. I think season 2 will be even better. As for the ratings, DALLAS had no lead in and held itself all summer. It also went up against the Olympics. It also has a strong demographic rating and over 1 million Facebook likes.
(Gasp!) Wow! Dallas has 1 million Facebook likes! It’s gonna get 12 seasons now…
Nice boost for both Bunheads and Secret Life, with both going up in viewers and demo.
Inbetweeners is a crash and burn for MTV.
Bunhead’s ratings are downright impressive (for ABC Family, at least) when you consider that they show it TWICE in primetime. If you miss it at 9pm, you can catch it at 10pm, and that certainly does take a toll on the 9pm ratings, which is what we’re looking at.
Amy Sherman-Palladino took over this show–there was an existing pilot script, which she extensively reworked, and that’s probably one reason the early episodes didn’t instantly gel the way Gilmore Girls did. But it’s been getting stronger and stronger, and I think we’ll continue to see it improve over the rest of this season, and hopefully a few more. But not seven, please. Gilmore Girls ran too long–so long that it ended with a different showrunner, and that was a disgrace.
Goop!!!! Bunheads
@johnbear
No, sorry.
If you want me to assess them tvbythenumbers style I would put the shows at
Warehouse 13: 4 smiley faces
Alphas: 2 smiley faces(Though I’m leaning towards 1)
@Chris For what it’s worth, the problem with GG wasn’t that it ran too long. The problem was that ASP kept the two primary romantic interests – Lorelai and Luke – apart interminably and then, in season 6, put Lorelai back with her ex husband. That frustrated a lot of viewers. Then ASP and her husband then left the show in a contract dispute. She and her husband wanted a two year deal to continue producing the series. Previously, they’d been working on one year contracts. However, the WB refused their demand. You’re right about season seven being a flop, but ASP wasn’t exactly the victim here. I believe that Family is fortunate to have Sutton Foster in the lead. She doesn’t have a lot of television credits, but her work on Broadway borders on the legendary. I only hope that the show’s ratings stop seesawing the way they have. I’d like to see this show run for a long time, so I hope it finds a steady audience.
@The End: you said “a 0.5/0.4 for a show with a budget like Alphas is actually not that great.”
How do you know what its budget is? DO you know? Let’s have a number, and sources please. Are you implying that it costs as much or more than Warehouse 13? Again, sources please.
@ Neil Let’s try another example. Target Demo: Adults aged 18-49. Hypothetically, Show A averaged a 0.5 within the group of adults aged 18-49. Show B averaged a 1.5 among that same group.
These numbers mean that Nielsen estimates that, of all households in the country with a television set, 0.5% of them were watching Show A and 1.5% of them were watching Show B. The rest were either watching something else or were not watching anything.
