It’s not huge, but CNN seems to be ticking up a bit in the ratings lately.
Can you imagine what ratings ‘Politics Nation’ would get in the demo without ‘Hardball’ weighing it down as lead-in and lead-out?
@AppleStinx
Like a reverse ‘OREO’…
@XYZ
“It’s not huge, but CNN seems to be ticking up a bit in the ratings lately.”
Because its the Sheeple who are still watching CNN just like with FOX News they arent better.
Can’t we all just get along?
It seems as if viewership is up a bit on all networks. It is perhaps due to the remarks of Mr. Akin.
Wait a minute…”Hardball” is the real deal on MSNBC and brings in 800,000 or 900,000 viewers (over a million yesterday at 5:00 pm Eastern) for its content. BTW, Ed was not on last night; I hope his wife Wendy is ok. I was at a funeral for a cancer victim this weekend. She did nothing to “earn” it like smoking or bad dietary habits.
Ready to learn Ebonics? Watch rev Al destroy our language!
@Apple … Your comment had to be tongue-in-cheek regarding Hardball and Politics Nation. You need a winky smiley face icon when you say such things.
@Tyrone … Righties on this website butcher the English language on a daily basis. So what are you trying to say about Rev Al?
Rachel Maddow show is doing great!
@HRJ … I just think it’s the political season and more Lefties are starting to pay attention. Rachel and Lawrence are consistently pulling more than a million viewers each month and are doing decently in the demos, too.
MSNBC’s ratings began to swing upward after the Ryan pick. I predicted a million plus viewers for Ed, Rachel, and Lawrence on the Monday after the announcement, and I was correct. Where I was wrong was I expected their ratings to drop significantly thereafter, but Rachel and Lawrence have held on. Ed has dropped a wee bit, but is still doing okay. Rev Al is the lowest watched show. I miss Cenk. I think Smerconish (sp) would do well in that slot. Or give Chris Hayes a preimtime show. I think Up is one of the best political/intellectual shows on television. Hayes reminds me of a left William F. Buckley, Jr. He is really sharp and his intellect blows me away. He might be too smart for prime time, which values sensationalism more than intellectual discourse.
CNN is a real turnoff. They should be reporting the truth and they are not, especially Erin Burnett and Piers Morgan. My two favorite people at CNN is Anderson Cooper and Wolf Blitzer.
Wow! Hannity is cooking and so is the five. FOX is on fire!
O’Rielly beats Ed’s 8:00PM numbers at 11:00PM
Chris Hayes is a very bright progressive, but way too caffeiniated for my taste.
Greta bests Lawerence. Add CNN’s numbers to MSNBC’s numbers against FOX and things get a bit closer. The combined numbers beat FOX in a few demos.
MSNBC has been doing all Akin all the time. Maybe the boob with the bad comb over is just not interesting enough to keep viewers? Go back to attacking Ryan he is a far more attractive target.
The numbers will continue to grow as we get closer to the election. More and more people will tune in to get the necessary info to make a determination on who to vote for or to cement their position.
Can’t we all just get along?
@@@@ TheBoss1
Perhaps you are correct. When I was 13 my mother allowed me to stay up all night (I went to bed at 4AM) to watch the Kennedy/Nixon election results. I have been hooked since. I love the political debates, the Sunday talk shows and all of the calbe networks, MSNBC and CNN more than FOX.
@
HRJ
I voted for Nixon against Humphrey in my third grade mock election. When I raised my hand to talk about why I made that selection, my hippie teacher was appalled. He scolded me. He asked, “how could you vote for Nixon.”
I told him that I believed in America and I didn’t like the protesters. I thought they were running America down. He exploded, “I’m one of those protesters.”
I was shaken. I went home and told my Dad what had happened. My mother had to talk my father out of cleaning the guys clock. No one talked to Sicilian big Pappy’s son that way…well except for him.
I guess I’ve been a righty ever since!!!!!!
