Reigning U.S. Open Champion Novak Djokovic, John Isner, Mardy Fish and Three-Time U.S. Open Champion Kim Clijsters Scheduled To Participate in Star-Studded Music and Tennis Extravaganza
CBS Sports broadcasts ARTHUR ASHE KIDS’ DAY on Sunday, Aug. 26 (12:00 NOON-1:30 PM, ET). ARTHUR ASHE KIDS DAY is a tennis exhibition featuring some of tennis’ greatest players, as well as pop-vocal sensation The Wanted, chart-topping singer Carly Rae Jepsen, special guest performer Owl City and from Nickelodeon’s How to Rock, Cymphonique Miller and Max Schneider.
Reigning U.S. Open Champion Novak Djokovic, John Isner, three-time U.S. Open Champion Kim Clijsters and Mardy Fish are among those scheduled to participate in the exhibition that includes skills competitions and tie-break matches.
Hosted by AAKD alumnus Jordin Sparks and television personality Quddus, the popular full-day tennis and music festival for children and adults features interactive games, musical entertainment and tennis activities. ARTHUR ASHE KIDS’ DAY is the official kick-off of the 2012 U.S. OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
CBS Sports will broadcast over 36 hours of the 2012 U.S. OPEN TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS with live comprehensive coverage during both weekends of Monday, Sept. 3 (11:00 AM-6:00 PM, ET) and Friday, Sept. 7 (12:30-6:00 PM, ET). The 2012 women’s championship live in prime time highlights the Network’s “Super Saturday” coverage on Saturday, Sept. 8 (8:00-10:00 PM, ET). The men’s championship will be on Sunday, Sept. 9 (4:00 PM, ET)., on Labor Day,

Produced by the USTA, Arthur Ashe Kids’ Day honors tennis legend Arthur Ashe and continues his mission of using tennis as a means to instill in kids the values of humanitarianism, leadership and academic excellence. A portion of the proceeds from Arthur Ashe Kids' Day benefits the USTA NJTL (National Junior Tennis League). Arthur Ashe, along with Charlie Pasarell, and Sheridan Snyder founded the NJTL in 1969.
