Summer’s #1 New Cable Comedy in Key Demos, “Baby Daddy” Is Cable

TV’s #1 Show at 8:30 P.M. for the 9th Straight Week in Women 18-34

 

“Melissa & Joey” (8:00-8:30 p.m.)

 

“Melissa & Joey” ranked as Wednesday’s #1 cable TV telecast at 8 o’clock for the 12th straight week in Women 18-34 (352,000) and for the 9th week in a row in Women 18-49 (535,000), and was also the #1 cable TV telecast in Adults 18-34 (434,000) and Females 12-34 (481,000).

 

  • Season 2 to date, “Melissa & Joey” is delivering its best season to date, ranking as cable TV’s #1 series in the half-hour across key measures, Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34.

 

“Baby Daddy” (8:30-9:00 p.m.)

 

Gaining on its lead-in across all demos, “Baby Daddy” qualified as cable TV’s #1 telecast at 8:30 p.m. in target female demos, and launch to date, stands as the #1 cable TV telecast in Adults 18-34 (662,000), Women 18-34 (537,000), Adults 18-49 (1.0 million), Women 18-49 (777,000), Viewers 12-34 (930,000) and Females 12-34 (764,000). In fact, this marked the series’ 9th consecutive week ranking as the #1 cable TV telecast in the half hour in Women 18-34.

 

  • “Baby Daddy” is set to rank as the #1 new cable comedy of Summer 2012 in Women 18-34 and Females 12-34, and cable TV’s #2 comedy in Prime launch to date in the target demos.

 

  • “Baby Daddy” built on its “Melissa & Joey” lead-in across the board, including by 6% in Adults 18-34 (459,000 vs. 434,000), by 8% in Adults 18-49 (742,000 vs. 688,000), by 15% in Viewers 12-34 (658,000 vs. 571,000) and by 14% in Females 12-34 (550,000 vs. 481,000).

 

  • Launch to date, “Baby Daddy” is tracking as ABC Family’s #1 comedy of all time in Adults 18-34 and Women 18-34, and ranks as cable TV’s #1 show in the half-hour across all target demos: Adults 18-34, Women 18-34, Adults 18-49, Women 18-49, Viewers 12-34 and Females 12-34.

 

  • “Baby Daddy” gains notably based on a full week of viewing, rising to 2.0 million Total Viewers (+40%) and to more than 1.1 million Adults 18-49 (+40%).
