   Secret Life’s 5B ratings will have no bearing on whether or not the show gets a 6th season. A renewal or cancellation will come sometime in February. Rumor has it that the show won’t be back until March. Yes, another 6 month hiatus. If that’s true about it not coming back until March, a renewal or cancellation decision will have already been made.

   Those numbers for love and hip hop are insane! They’re not even big hip hop stars i’m just wondering how the hell they attract that many viewers? It’s not like Jayz, Kanye and Beyonce are on it

   LMAO@ The Inbetweeners! Hopefully MTV will stop messing with UK shows. They should stick with their Jersey Shore and Teen Wolf.

   Syfy is consistently in the Top 25 cable channels each week. True, it hasn’t been doing quite as well this summer as last summer (1,253,000 Total Avg. Viewers for 2011; 1,156,000 Total Avg. Viewers for 2012 18-49 is down too – stats provided by TVbtN). If Alphas and W13 are cheap enough Syfy will keep them. I wonder how well they will do in syndication though or if Syfy even cares about syndication? Although that’s the one thing scripted has over reality – most people don’t care about seeing reality shows more than once, scripted keeps on giving (sometimes that’s good, sometimes it’s not LOL).

   Those numbers for Inbetweeners are pretty pitiful. Clearly this show hasn’t resonated with the MTV demographic.

    Wow at Love & Hip Hop. I remember the days when Vh1 struggled for an audience. Its viewers rivals RAW at 8:00. Single Ladies, Secret Life did well. Can’t wait to see how Switched at Birth will do next week.

    Yah for Alphas!! – Whether it was the Summer Glau affect or not, it was up A LOT in viewers, not really in demo, but still. And they moved it to 8pm (without much promotion I don’t think) suddenly one week and it starts to go up, without a lead-in. I didn’t think it would get over 1.3 million viewers again so this is really good and without the lead-in it had as well. I can see this, Warehouse 13 and Defiance all together come April. Warehouse 13 did really well too but no worry about that renewal.

    Love And Hip Hop Atlanta did gangbuster numbers and Single Ladies followed suit, is that series highs for both??.

    Major Crimes holding up pretty good, think it might have to settle for 2nd most watched TNT show though, after Rizzoli And Isles. Perception doing decent enough, but its already renewed so doesn’t really matter, how Season 2 does is when it will start to matter.

    Overall a good day for cable tv, ratings are good. Bet a lot of these shows are glad they are on during the summer though cos they would get crushed with full fall season in effect. Some might not be finished yet when it starts back, would love to see what effect it has on cable ratings on this night, Monday Cable has been by far the most interesting night for ratings this summer, even if i might not watch the majority of the shows.

    Last night’s ratings confirm that Summer Glau has found an audience. The question remains whether Alphas can make the same claim. If Martin is correct and Alphas drops a lot of viewers next week, it’s going to become clear that that the show likely doesn’t have much growth potential. For a show struggling with ratings, that usually leads to cancellation.

    The Inbetweeners is clearly an embarrassment.MTV has struck gold with Awkward. Underemployed actually looks like an interesting choice for MTV. Will be definitely sampling that.

    Good for Secrete Life in its summer finalle. Perception is basicly unchanged in total viewers and the demo of a .7. Last nights episode was really good. I was hoping the show would go back up this week but i guess not.
