Congrats to General Powell
This past Saturday, Aug 25th, General Powell and his wife Alma celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary!
Come back to us General, we miss ya
@Mike
Agree whole-heartedly…I still watch some of CNN for their take, but MSNBC is unwatchable. It took ten seconds into watching Matthew’s show to bring up race. It’s unreal. I mean, if other stations were to do this, their viewers would tune out. Where do you start? Loud mouth Matthews, Maddow has diarrhea of the mouth-does she ever shut up?, Sharpton sounds like an uneducated fool with marbles in his mouth, then there’s the weekend/daytime line up…Melissa Harris “everthing is about race” segments..Chris Hayes who I think is really the alter-Rachel Maddow ego which is weird.
@letmethink
I so agree with you about Ed
CHOW TIME YEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWW
Senator Mitch McConnell said the president hasn’t been working to earn re-election, but instead has been working to earn a spot on the Professional Golf Association tour. And what does MSNBC have to say about it? Yup – he’s a Racist.. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/video/2012/08/29/msnbc_mitch_mcconnell_saying_obama_wants_to_be_in_pga_is_racist.html
Another 4.1 Coffee Steve!! Outside the city :/
Laughable…CNN’s Wolf interviewed Anna(?)someone republican Hispanic representative and Donna Brazile about Obama campaigning during the hurricaine. The very nice Anna says would it kill Obama to be in the office and stop for 48hrs while the crisis boils over and of course Donna defends O saying he has everything under control.
My point is the guy HAS NEVER STOPPED CAMPAIGNING!!! How can you get anything accomplished when you are either on tv talk shows jammin” or playing basketball or golf or fundraising with your 1% Hollywood hoodies.
@d.d.
Real quick, forecast for you and us are now anywhere from 4-8 inches of rain
@Jeff
Dude I tell you what, something is buliding for you guys, the GSA is really worried about this swarm. While not un-usual these seem to be stronger, you better stay safe, Apple too and anyone else out there on here
You have to be physically occupying the oval office if you want to do President Stuff (whatever that is)
Chuck Todd is nothing if not a helluva race-baiting shill for Obama.
Then NBC did something truly amazing….
No, really; it was truly amazing….
Not one speech by a person of color was broadcast on MSNBC.
Not a single one.
@Doug Z
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/msnbc-falsely-accused-of-purposely-omitting-minority-republican-speeches/
Both networks aired the speeches by NH Senator Kelly Ayotte, Ohio Governor John Kasich, Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell, Ann Romney, and NJ Gov. Chris Christie.
But for minority speakers, here’s a handy guide to how the rival networks broke down coverage:
Mia Love: MNSBC was in commercial; Fox aired Shepard Smith‘s coverage of Hurricane Isaac from New Orleans.
Brian Sandoval: MSNBC aired hurricane coverage; Fox’s Sean Hannity interviewed Rep. Eric Cantor.
Ted Cruz: MSNBC cut to panel analysis of the convention; Fox went to commercial and returned with a Scott Walker interview.
Artur Davis: MSNBC aired panel discussion, mentioned his speech 5 minutes in, but didn’t air it; Fox aired the entirety of the speech.
Nikki Haley: both MSNBC and Fox News aired the speech.
Lucé Vela Fortuño: MSNBC aired more roundtable discussion; Fox News cut away to discussion by Bret Baier and Megyn Kelly.
So with the exception of former Rep. Davis, MSNBC did not omit any speeches that Fox News did not also omit.
It should also be pointed out Nikki Haley is considered a minority
The job of many liberal journalists these days apparently is to shout out racism wherever they can find it – or make it up.
The Washington Post’s Harold Meyerson, for instance has a tired column today asserting that “today’s Republican Party represents the worst traditions of the South’s dankest backwaters.” Basically opposing tax hikes shows the GOP’s roots in white racism, or something
The Liberal media is playing straight out of the book – Rules for Radicals, and Obama taught it in Chicago when he was a Community Organizer.
@Snap Tie
It should be pointed out Rules for Radicals was on many Tea Party must read lists before the likes of Glen Beck starting talking it down. lol
I personally never get what was so bad about Saul Alinsky(republican boogie man). I will say I see the same thing done now with Ayn Rand on the left(who is now becoming a Democrat boogie woman)
Snap Tie
Matthew’s, orgasm/love fest with Obama shows how mentality unstable he is and is just plain weird.Normal people don’t act like that.Matthew’s did achieve his main goal yesterday on Morning Joe ‘get the race card out early and play it offend.’
If Obama loses in Nov ,I believe for his own protection, they’ll have to put him on a suicide watch 24/7.The man is a ticking time bomb. In all reality, I don’t think the suicide hot line could help Chris. The man is a nut case.
Its like someone sprinkled cat nip on the Fox News numbers and you righties are rolling around and going wild, it’s kinda cute!
It’s your RNC convention enjoy it!! Stop complaining about the coverage and try to enjoy what’s important.
Then next week you will all be In Heat screaming and clawing and going nuts as the Democrats Energize and unite and tell the country about Mitt Romney since the RNC is failing to do so.
PS. Brit Hune and Megan talked all through the National Anthem on Fox, that pretty rude and disrespectful, if ya ask me.
You’ve probably seen that last night an RNC convention attendee was ejected from the hall for pelting a black CNN camerawoman with nuts and saying the words “this is how we feed animals.”
Follow up reports this morning say actually two people were ejected.
