   completely agree. WC is a fantasy. Expecting courtroom scenes reminiscent of L&O is kind of kooky if you like this show. The whole premise doesn’t bear thinking about. The characters are what we like.

   WC is ok. I used to watch it regularly until a little show called Rizzoli and Isles came on. Now that R&I is over I gave WC a try again. I have to say to each his own but it was ok I did not think it was horrible but I do miss R&I. Anyone know when it starts back up? Sorry to ask the question since it is not on now but you guys are great and always helpful!!

   Covert Affairs is awful
   Pretty Little Liars is garbage for 15 yo girls

   Nothing decent on Tue night then

   @Nadine: There’s a middle ground between courtroom scenes reiminiscent of L&O (which I assure you NO ONE expects on White Collar) and the lazy ridiculousness the WC writers were throwing our way in this latest episode. They could – or at least, should – do better, and they should at least try.

   Joyce, the last 4_5 episodes of season three will air in Nov & season four starts in June 2013

   Loving this season of White Collar. The writers have really found a way to use the ensemble well while still focusing on Neal and Peter. WC is telling a good story and it is showing in its ratings. Covert Affairs on the other hand has really declined this season. The writing is just plain bad which is a shame because the cast is really good. Big mistake getting rid of the good-looking Indian guy IMO. Not that upset about the sister going. It seems like the writers are trying to go all dark and serious but they are not capable of doing it properly. I wonder why the change in tone of the show? They have certainly lost a lot of their audience since season 1. I still think the show will stay on the air. Fairly Legal, Necessary Roughness, and Common Law all do worse than CA so I think its safe for another season at least. Hope they can get their audience back but its gonna be tough. Once you lose people it is so hard to get them back.

   I liked WC more in the previous seasons. I think the writing is all over the place this year. And what was the point of the Mozzie episode? Filler?

   Would rather have more Mozzie ‘filler’ episodes than have the writers force feed me more of Sara! I love Moz…Sara on the other hand, I still can’t stand. And I gave her plenty of chances. Hope this is the last season I see her on WC.

    White Collar is all about Matt Bomer for 99% of the fans. He’s an excellent actor, he deserves more from the writers but at some point he will soon move on. He’s too talented to remain just USA networks biggest star. Glad he has two movies to film this fall.

    MI: OK, I can buy Toby is a bad guy. It was a pretty blunt reveal, though. They could have been a bit more subtle about it. I feel for Spencer, though, when she finds out. Spencer’s my favorite character at the moment – alternating with Emily… :_)

    My big problem with White Collar this season was that there was no “villain” so far as in previous seasons, so no central conflict which is vital for a show. The introduction of Sam and his hints of a big conspiracy behind Neal’s dad’s death could perk up the rest of the season depending on what it all turns out to be.

    And I did notice the court room scene made zero sense.

    Covert Affairs this season in my view has been as good as previous for the most part but it has some problems.

    Writing the sister out was fine, I never was interested in her.

    I also think adding Sarah Clarke to the cast was good, even though it reduces screen time for Kari who is my favorite actor on the show (liked her since she was Nate’s ex-wife on Leverage.)

    Killing off Jay was fine, but they haven’t done anything with it so far, which is not fine. That should have been the central conspiracy and conflict of the season, but they’ve shifted off to this bit with Annie romancing this FSB spy which doesn’t appear to be going anywhere so far. If the writers are planning something big with either that or Jay’s death, they need to “telegraph it” a little more so people won’t lose interest.

    I’m also getting a *little* bit tired of the Mossad guy turning up every so often (even though Oded Fehr is an engaging actor), although I suppose it makes sense given how deep in bed with Israel the US is (to our detriment, by the way.)

    Also, we all know that sooner or later Annie and Augie are going to shack up, let’s not take five seasons to get there.
