BOOM! Fox explodes, and they may get 9 million + for tonights
Speaking of numbers
*RNC Ratings Night 2: Networks Lose 17 Million Viewers Compared To ’08…
I wonder why?
Wow, MSNBC beat CNN in total viewers in every single hour shown. CNN clipped MSNBC a couple times with demo but they were handily beaten in general. Fox was off the charts, not terribly surprising. I thought CNN would make a better showing – they did well in 2008. They really are off the rails. Management meetings at CNN must be getting really ugly now. The Wolf/Erin duo lacks any and all chemistry – its just boring and their commentrary is banal. These ratings are very telling.
@Former CNN Fan
I know I have said this in the past, But it is sad seeing CNN dying like this.

Like I said last night, Comcast has to be EMBARRASSED!!! Or they really just dont care!
@Ratboy
Or they really just dont care!
If the numbers continue like this throght the election, watch how quick they start caring.
Almost 3 million for Greta at 11:30! MSNBC gained around 100k per hour and lost 100k at 11. FOX gained in the millions per hour and lost 2 million at 11. MSNBC had numbers that matched Rachel on a real good night so they really got NO bump at all!!!!
MSNBC ad rates are tanking.. Comcast won’t put up with it. House cleaning after the election..
Why would their ad rates tanking? You’re really just talking out of your ass. MSNBC is doing better than it was at this point in 2008, the RNC notwithstanding.
Looks like CNN may have to change their slogan “America’s Choice: 2012″ since they are a distant third in all categories. If they didn’t have the lock on being the only channel in airports and most restaurants/bars, I wonder what their ratings would be. How embarrassing for Wolf Blitzer that even Al Sharpton is beating him in ratings. Resist we much! On the other hand, both MSNBC and CNN know what would bring them better numbers, but they are stuck too far up the DNC’s ass to change.
Wow. CNN is finally getting better numbers. I think their coverage of the convention has easily surpassed in quality that of MSNBC. Too bad MSNBC’s numbers were not higher. It would have been great for more people to see Chris Matthews and Laurence O’Donnell become absolutely undone by the Rice and Ryan speeches. You could actually see the sweat pooling on their faces. They both looked like they were coming undone. And poor Chris, still race- baiting and trying to make ‘birthers’ relevant.
Looks like Clint Eastwood is speaking at the RNC tonight. I thought Republicans thought those Hollywood types are a huge negative. lol
I don’t think CNN should be compared to MSNBC. They strive for objectivity like most of the broadcast networks. I don’t expect them to cater to the same audience as MSNBC and I would expect MSNBC’s numbers to be subdued considering this is the RNC. I think MSNBC ratings will go up more next week. CNN should be truly embarrassed. Heads need to roll over this. Given CNN’s performance in 2008 and looking at the ratings of all the news organizations, they clearly expected to do better than this. They bet the farm on Anderson Cooper and when he stimbled due to his daytime adventures, they brought in Morgan and Burnett – two vacuous media celebs who don’t know their @$$ from a hole in the ground with hopes these “good tv” dimwits would save the network. Gimme a break.
Chris Matthews lie of the day..I live in the majority black area of Washington, D.C. when in fact, he actually lives in the very white area of Chevy Chase, Maryland. Plus -Ronald Reagan was a Racist.. http://www.mrctv.org/videos/chris-matthews-claims-he-lives-black-majority-district-columbia-actually-lives-blindingly-pale-chevy-chase-village
The crew of Chris Matthews, Rachel Maddow, Ed Schultz, Lawrence O’Donnell and Chris Hayes were criticized in some places I read for not taking on ALL of the lies in Ryan’s speech. They did focus on the Janesville lie (Ed is the go-to guy for that) and the 716-trillion-dollar lie. But Ryan’s tapestry of lies was so vast, they couldn’t get into all of them. The traditional press did today; even the Faux Right-Wing Propaganda Network’s website joined in. There’s a repetitive meme of getting a nice bucket of popcorn to prepare for some show. For me, Stella Artois beer (sold for a bargain price in New Hampshire stores this week) will do nicely.
Mark,
I thought Lib’s don’t make ‘racist’ remarks, like you did earlier today about Condi Rice.
What did i say about Condi Rice?
Here is the funny pic of the day
http://i47.tinypic.com/1j6alx.jpg
Fact: While Ryan tried to pin the downgrade of the United States’ credit rating on spending under President Obama, the credit rating was actually downgraded because Republicans threatened not to raise the debt ceiling.
Fact: While Ryan blamed President Obama for the shut down of a GM plant in Janesville, Wisconsin, the plant was actually closed under President George W. Bush. Ryan actually asked for federal spending to save the plant, while Romney has criticized the auto industry bailout that President Obama ultimately enacted to prevent other plants from closing.
Fact: Though Ryan insisted that President Obama wants to give all the credit for private sector success to government, that isn’t what the president said. Period.
Fact: Though Paul Ryan accused President Obama of taking $716 billion out of Medicare, the fact is that that amount was savings in Medicare reimbursement rates (which, incidentally, save Medicare recipients out-of-pocket costs, too) and Ryan himself embraced these savings in his budget plan.
Ryan didn’t mention his extremist stance on banning all abrtions with no exception for rape or incest, a stance that is out of touch with 75% of American voters.
Ryan didn’t mention his previous plan to hand over Social Security to Wall Street.
Ryan didn’t mention his numerous votes to raise spending and balloon the deficit when George W. Bush was president.
Ryan didn’t mention how his budget would eviscerate programs that help the poor and raise taxes on 95% of Americans in order to cut taxes for millionaires and billionaires even further and increase — yes, increase —the deficit.
Looks like Clint Eastwood is speaking at the RNC tonight. I thought Republicans thought those Hollywood types are a huge negative. lol
HAHAHAHAHA. HE IS! So Funny that Fox News is always talking about hoe Hollywood is liberal Hollywood is a bunch of prudes, they are socialists that are only there for Obama….until of course, you get one that believes in THEIR ideals….then at their point they are A-OK.
