FOX News Channel was once again  the top network during the final day of the RNC with 9.1 million total viewers, putting it ahead of broadcast coverage by wide margins during the 10-11PM hour in both total viewers and in adults 25-54.

FNC also only declined 2% in viewership from 2008's RNC, which is lower than the declines reported by all other broadcast/cable networks resulting from the overall lower viewership we've seen during this RNC. See more in the tables below.

Well the good thing is…………………not too many people watched Chris and Al and Ed and Rachel make a$$es out of themselves!!!!!!

  • Marcus

After watching a good amount of GOP’ers, I still don’t know what they stand for other than being able to lie pretty good and bash Obama. How many of these people do we have to listen to tell stories of struggles about their gandparents trying to make a living, when I didn’t actually hear anyone talk about themselves struggling. Same old BS from a backward looking party.

  • Marcus

@Ratboy….MSNBC did a great job exposing the GOP of their misrepresentations. I doubt you even watched them. Glad they’re around to counter the Fox Republic shills.

  • Norman

So basically, the Republican faithful watched like they did 4 years ago but liberals and moderate interest waned. Seeing as Clint is taking over the conversation Mitt Romney probably gave his most human speech in vain.

  • Ralph Hahn

@Marcus: OK, Mr. Genius. Please enlighten us and tell us what the Democrats stand for.

  • Sam

@ Marcus, From what I remember of the primaries, wasn’t Rick Santorum the candidate who came from humble beginnings to accumulate whatever fortune he has? Many people who are from the Midwest in particular can talk about struggling to make it personally and finding the GOP to serve them the best economically in their eyes. It’s shown by the fact that GOP-led states can boast about having the lowest unemployment and having the most states ranked as ‘best for business.’

    Dear JRC197

I’m glad you are one of the few who are doing better, I’m not. Thanks to Obamacare, my companys’ health insurnace offering is now down to one choice and it’s an insurance company with awful coverage and worse customer service. I suppose I do have two choises-take it or leave it. So no, I am not doing better then I was four years ago.

  • Raz

Oh, and all the crap, manure…yadda yadda yadda about Honey Boo Boo, not ture. Just another crap manure…yadda yadda yadda stired up to muddy the water.

@Coffee Steve: Didn’t you predict Nine Million Viewers for Fox yesterday?

8.4 Million was my pick (or higher) and now one that will shock and amaze, next weeks DNC, Fox will go even higher

I know almost 9 million reasons why your wrong :-)

Can’t we all just get along?

I love Clint. I love his movies. I love his independence. Last night CDlint did not “MAKE MY DAY.”

  • jrc1978

@Raz, I’m sorry to hear that. Since I live in Michigan and have seen how things have been more positive than negative in the last 4 years for MOST people I know…family and friends…I have to base my vote on that personal experience and also based on how BAD things were for those same people under Bush and his GOP agendas. On a more personal note…the insurance coverage at my company has stayed the same because we were lucky enough to have our company cover the slight increases in cost.

@Ralph – you’re obviously one of the angry old white guys that votes republican ‘just because’. You don’t know anything about me. I’ve been laid off from 3 auto suppliers from 2002-2005. Who was president then? Those 3 companies don’t exist anymore. Since Obama FIXED things…several NEW companies have popped up and prospered in my region. Not to mention the auto companies. Get off your high horse and look at the bigger picture with some perspective. I don’t have time to troll all day long to debate you so I’m done. Get out of your recliner, put in your teeth and take your meds.

Hate to break it to you but Bush had nothing to do with the suppliers going belly up!! GM and Ford made that happen by squeezing the pricing so bad that is buried the compaies. I come from the auto industry but there is not enough space to post what happened! After the FIX??? GM is tanking again as we speak and the reason the new companies started is because they started supplying the foregn manufacturers more in the states to cover their larger market shares and higher parts margins!

PS I hope you are working now!

  • Lance

Clint was downright embarrassing. Rubio was pretty good. Romney gave the best speech of his political career – sans the threats of war towards the end. Still won’t be enough though. Independent voters just don’t trust him and the Electoral college just doesn’t add up in his favor, unless the GOP voter suppression tactics actually swing the election. But I don’t think America is going to accept another “tainted” victory this time around like 2000.

You want to know why ABC, CBS, and NBC fell hard from 2008? NFL preemptions. Several stations that aired NFL preseason games didn’t air their affiliated network’s coverage at all. For example, my ABC affiliate aired an NFL preseason game that ran about eight minutes long and joined the RNC in progress.
