NICKELODEON CURES BACK-TO-SCHOOL BLUES WITH A
DOSE OF SpongeBob SQUAREPANTS
Michael McKean (This is Spinal Tap; Planes, Trains & Automobiles) Lends Voice in Premiere of “License to Milkshake”
On Monday, September 3, SpongeBob’s adventures continue when Nickelodeon treats viewers to an all-day SpongeBob SquarePants marathon from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with two brand-new episodes, “Squid Baby” and “The Good Krabby Name,” premiering at 7:30 p.m. (ET/PT).  During “Squid Baby,” Squidward hits his head and reverts to being a baby, and it’s up to SpongeBob and Patrick to take care of him.  Next in “The Good Krabby Name,” Mr. Krabs wants all of Bikini Bottom to eat at the Krusty Krab, so SpongeBob and Patrick Go On an advertising blitz.

SpongeBob fans can continue to get their nautical fill throughout the week from 5:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. (ET/PT) with back-to-school episodes airing daily.  This week of under the sea fun all leads up to the premiere of “License to Milkshake” featuring guest voice Michael McKean (This is Spinal Tap; Planes, Trains & Automobiles) on Friday, Sept. 7, at 8:00 p.m. (ET/PT).  During the episode, SpongeBob learns his milkshake license has expired and is forced to go back to the milkshake academy.  McKean voices the academy instructor.

Nickelodeon does need the big change but cancelling Victorious and HTR wasnt a good idea. Wit proper promotion, HTR couldve been decent enough to keep.

  • Nathan (NR2012)

@Kaylie Nickelodeon couldn’t afford to keep Victorious. Plus, if they had renewed Victorious they would have to Pay ariana MORE. (Sam & Cat, Victorious) Plus Noah too since he is most likely getting royalty checks for iCarly. I agree though, that if How To Rock had proper promotion it would have at least been getting the Numbers, MBAV or ANT gets. But They gave How To Rock a million chances. They premiered a new episode right after the KCA’s, which got 4 million. But the next episode after that when right down to 2 million.

I don’t think airing Supah Ninjas @ 12:30 is a good idea. Nickelodeon did that with the troop, and look where it ended up. Supah Ninjas is probably the only show that has potential, and House of Anubis. Although, I think HOA should be moved to Saturdays, instead of daily.

  • Nathan (NR2012)

The real competition starts this Fall. Nickelodeon doesn’t usually air a lot of episodes of their shows in the summer, that’s how they are. We’ll see who’s the real winner this fall when Nickelodeon lays out over 300 new episodes of their series! :) Watch out disney!

  • Kaylie

Disney is always consistent throughout the year with new episodes, specials or movies. They always have a back up every week they premiere. Thats just how they are. But it will be competition to see the two finally fairly go up against each other.

    @Nathan
dont worry this is not the first time disney beat nick in the summer . back in 2008 disney beat nick in the summer and i think we all remember how nick rebounded in the fall
igo to japan, whobob whatpants, merry chistmas drake and josh, superstuffed nicktoons weekend, ect

  • tobias

i just wish nick treated penguins and tuff puppy with more respect both of those shows were putting up some good numbers until nick stopped promoting them and moved them to sundays

  • jamie

They actually cancelled “Fred: the series” as well as “Bucket & Skinner”, “How To Rock”, “iCarly”, and “Victorious”. I could care less what Nick airs, when those shows air their final episodes, I’m done watching the network.

  • Twist Of Fate 2.0

    My Fall lineup:

    9:30 – Spongebob Squarepants
    10:00 – Tuff Puppy
    10:30 – Kung Fu Panda
    11:00 – TMNT
    11:30 – Penguins Of Madagascar
    12:00 – Power Rangers

7:30 – You Gotta See This
    8:00 – Victorious
    8:30 – iCarly
    9:00 – Big Time Rush
    9:30 – How To Rock

  • Nathan (NR2012)

@jamie The only good shows you listed are iCarly, HTR, and Victorious. Nickelodeon didn’t even Cancel Fred FYI. Please get your facts straight! :)

  • jamie

@Nathan (NR2012): They did cancel “Fred: the Show”. Look it up. Nick did give that Fred boy another show though called “Marvin, Marvin”, which had it’s pilot picked up. Fred, Victorious, How To Rock, Bucket & Skinner, and iCarly are all axed (well, iCarly is ending, but still).
