Recapping our night-by-night look at the fall 2012 schedule, we start on Monday night. ABC is keeping the exact same lineup as Fall 2011 and CBS is close, with only the new comedy Partners at 8:30p, and 2 Broke Girls moving to the tentpole 9pm spot after the Thursday move of Two and a Half Men.
NBC brings The Voice into the Fall, followed by new drama Revolution at 10pm. For NBC's sake, I hope it lasts longer than The Playboy Club did.
We can only hope we'll get a little Revolution fan chatter joining the Castle v. Hawaii Five-0 trash talk on Tuesday mornings.
The CW moves Gossip Girl an hour later than last Fall for its final season (not clear on the episode count) and brings 90210 into the night. The Carrie Diaries is scheduled to enter the night after Gossip Girl is done.
Nothing nearly as newsworthy on the night for Fox as Terra Nova was last Fall, but rookie The Mob Doctor will follow Bones.
Take a trip down memory land with 2011's Monday Fall schedule:

CBS
NBC
ABC
FOX
CW
CBS will be down 10% but still win the night H5O is stable
NBC’s the Voice will slide 20% while Revolution will do slightly better than “Smash”
ABC’s DWTS will hold and possilby rise .1-.3 due to the all-star factor…Castle though will tumble due to the Revolution
FOX is dead, Bones is to weak and Mob Doctor is just a bad concept
CW weakest night of the week will be Mondays
Will be watching The Voice, HIMYM, Hawaii Five-0 and will DVR Revolution to watch later in the week (if its good)
CBS
Partners 2.8-3.2
2 Broke Girls 3.4-4.0
Mike & Molly 2.9-3.5
H50 2.5-3.0
NBC
The Voice 3.7-4.5 (Auditions/Battle Rounds 5.0-6.0)
Revolution 2.0-2.8 (starts with 3.0)
ABC
Dancing 3.0-3.5
Castle 2.2-2.5
FOX
Bones 1.8-2.4
Mob Doctor 1.6-2.0
CW
90210 0.5 -0.7
GG 0.4-0.6
I’ll be watching HIMYM, the Voice for sure. I’ll catch some of DWTS, Raw and I’ll give Chrissy and mr. Jones a try. I don’t think Revolution or Castle will hold my interest this season
I will only be watching Revolution, maybe Bones. Serious lack of good scripted programming on Monday nights.
I’ll only be watching 90210 and castle.
CBS for me on Mondays.
I will give Hawaii five 0 up, Castle is just too good and I want to give Revolution a try!!!!
Bones at 8pm while DVR-ing DWTS (yes I’m pathetic, I still watch that). At 9pm start watching my recording of DWTS, have the whole 2hrs finished in the remaining hour.
10pm – Watch Castle, DVR Revolution and check it out.
Revolution had reverse FlashForward syndrome to me– the further it got from the opening the better. It had a horribly cheezy prologue about the power going out and super awkward world building/forced character development (Your mom is dead!– Actual line) but once the villains showed up the rest of the episode was a must-see for be. But I’m feeling like the first ten minutes’ll scare most everyone away…
Just finished the RVN pilot…words cannot describe the true epicness of it. Already there are a million questions that come to mind, just like the best Abrams shows. With Eric Kripke’s involvement, it better prove to be a formula for success. And if not, well, let’s not forget Kripke was able to finagle the SPN five-year plan. Hopefully if the ratings slip to typical NBC levels, then that network will be just as receptive to Kripke and his ideas as the CW was.
Ratings Predictions:
CBS:
How I Met Your Mother-4.2-4.6
Partners-3.8-4.4
2 Broke Girls-4.5-5.0
Mike and Molly-3.9-4.3
Hawaii Five-0-2.9-3.3
NBC:
The Voice-3.6-5.4
Revolution-2.8-3.8
FOX:
Bones-2.6-2.8
The Mob Doctor-2.0-2.2
ABC:
Dancing With the Stars-3.0-3.5
Castle-2.6-3.0
The CW:
90210-0.9-1.2
Gossip Girl-0.7-1.0
Must watch: The Voice and Revolution. On Demand: Castle and Hawaii Five-O.
One of the exciting things about watching Jericho (and I had expected Terra Nova) was that at any point a main character could be killed off OR the whole series might. That makes me excited about Revolution, though with NBC I’m expecting some much slower bear fodder. I suspect it will be this season’s Grimm: for NBC will be considered a breakout hit but not for anyone else. But, honestly, it looks to me like the best of the new shows. My sad fate that NBC shows appeal to me. And NBC’s sad fate as well.
HIMYM (Hopefully this show is nearing the end) & Revolution! I’m so pumped for Revolution! Although Sci Fi on broadcast tv just doesn’t seem to work. FlashForward, Terro Nova and Life on Mars I really got absorbed in and then BANG! gone. Hope Revo isn’t the same!

have you never heard of a show called Once Upon a Time? Or Person of Interest?
Oh, I forgot, FRINGE??!!??!??!!!!
@MJDB
Much as i’d love a 0.9-1.0 for Gossip Girl’s premiere, that is a bit too optimistic!
Ok, I’ll play.
Switched at Birth – live
Will give Mob Doctor a try. If I don’t like it, DWTS. Or I may watch the last hour of DWTS and catch Mob Doctor on Hulu Plus.
Castle – live
Revolution on Hulu Plus.
Add to that, Bunheads whenever it returns in the winter. A must see for me.
