Recapping our night-by-night look at the fall 2012 schedule, we start on Monday night.  ABC is keeping the exact same lineup as Fall 2011 and CBS is close, with only the new comedy  Partners at 8:30p, and 2 Broke Girls moving to the tentpole 9pm spot after the Thursday move of Two and a Half Men.

NBC brings The Voice into the Fall, followed by new drama Revolution at 10pm. For NBC's sake, I hope it lasts longer than The Playboy Club did.

We can only hope we'll get a little Revolution fan chatter joining the Castle v. Hawaii Five-0 trash talk on Tuesday mornings.

The CW moves Gossip Girl an hour later than last Fall for its final season (not clear on the episode count) and brings 90210 into the night. The Carrie Diaries is scheduled to enter the night after Gossip Girl is done.

Nothing nearly as newsworthy on the night for Fox as Terra Nova was last Fall, but rookie The Mob Doctor will follow Bones.

Take a trip down memory land with 2011's Monday Fall schedule:

I recently caught Revolution available early on demand. It’s definitely a keeper & lives up to its hype. Hopefully future episodes can maintain the quality & intensity of the pilot. I think this show can win its timeslot over H50 & Castle on a regular basis

I agree. Will beat Casle 99%, but H50 not so sure. Will beat them both in 18-40 demo, but will struggle with older people. Now i understand great NBC decision to pair it with The Voice. Younger and teen audience from the voice will follow to revolution(especially female). Great move from NBC here. From now can say that will win PCA and teen choice award. Its not complicated as i expected. Very simple, easy to follow and entertaining. Amazing show. Adventure drama with a lot of action, love story(Charlie&Nate), thriller, some mistery and suspense. Best NBC drama from years in my opinion. Much more entertaining than smash was.
I say this season best dramas:
    1 Revolution
    2 Nashvile
    3 Elementary or 666
Don’t see other good dramas. May be only Hannibal.

of course will be watching 2 broke girls and mike and molly.
the voice i only watch because of the blind auditions .. after that no
and revolution.. saw the premier on demand and i loved it.. will 100% be watching the series.. hopefully everybody else loved it

The same. You just take my words from my mouth.

2 Broke girl is new FRIENDS out there.(for me even now is the funniest sitcom) I think in 3 years will be better than TBBT and MF for everybody. For Revolution i said it before seconds. We watch it 5 people and all love it. And from reality show i will watch only blind auditions. After that the voice is boring to me.

ps Add and H5O. But behind schedule. I watch CSI, NCIS and H5O at once ususally around cristmas holidays. Just can’t watch so good action dramas. CSI still classic. NCIS stil #1 and H5O is too good to miss.

Ooh Please .. NBC did not picked up WALKING DEAD and guess what it was a hit! And now suddenly they placed post apocalypse drama ?

  • NJ Viewer

I hate to say this, but the general premise of “Revolution” is absurd. I love sci-fi programs, but come on… A power, or energy outage on a global scale is practically improbable. Even if there was a massive solar flare creating a huge EM pulse, there’d still be pockets on the planet that wouldn’t be totally affected. The only way this could happen would be massive annihilation, and I didn’t see that in any of the promos. And even if something catastrophic like that did actually happen, restoring power would then become a major priority, and it would most likely be restored way before 15 years passed.

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

Last season 3 best new dramas was:

    #1 Person of interest

    #2 Once upon a time

    #3 Revenge

and Smash do well for NBC.

This season 3 best new dramas are:

Elementary(not even close to Sherlock, but still good enough and part from CBS “super thursday” block), Revolution and 666. Just don’t sure in what order will be. Nashville will take smash place.

  • DV

    @NJ Viewer

That’s why it’s called sci-fi. It’s science fiction. You have to have an open mind. Hence why I love Fringe, Lost, and Alias. All not very realistic, but I like enjoying the shows for what they are.

That being said, a large scale EMP isn’t impossible. Yes, they would try and restore power, but obviously there is more to the story. That’s why I will watch to find out!

  • Jase

    @DV

I have to agree with NJ Viewer’s assessment. The poor execution of the show’s premise can’t be overlooked. There has to be some level of plausibility with any show imo. Plus, the acting (in the pilot) was pretty wretched.

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

For Revolution will be big boost if giancarlo esposito win EMMY award too.

For H5O no doub’t that will be best or worst case scenario second best 10 pm drama for CBS. Only Elementary can be better.

By the was JD Pardo(Nate) is part of the twilight breaking dawn part 2. Not sure what is his role. Will see.

For Castle decline will continue. Not sure how much down.

2 Broke girls will be next friends. Great hit.

HIMYM will be ok. But down.

    M&M down and cancel.

Only for Partners i don’t know what to say relly. Such a mistery for me is that show.

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

Sorry i miss FOX dramas and DWTS.

DWTS will be like last years – stable. Not down which is good for that show with viwers so tired of this talent/singing/dancing formats.

Fox dramas like last year all will be dead in end of the year. Fox will be with zero dramas after this year. So can Fox start next season without dramas? I mean now Monday competition is really bad for fox dramas Not only CBS comedy block but 2 reality shows too and football. Even good dramas will be hard to survive with that competition.

    @DV
People love sci-fi shows, because curiosity – is the greatest human quality. Period. Also we are not narrow-minded. And Abrams is king of sci fi. Lost is best sci fi show of all time. Alias is litle old and fringe was hit only in first and second season. But last year once upon a time was #2 drama. And by the way these days i undrstand that Damon lindelof(Abrams was his mentor. Lost co-creator, one of the best showrunners) help for once. Not sure with what role. That is enough for sci fi.(not talk about cable shows like TWD or GoT etc)

Having said that i think (from what i saw) revolution will be more PoI like. I mean PoI is major crime drama with a lot of action, thriller and very litle sci fi elements if any. From what i see for now Revolution was aroud adventure, action, love story and mistery for blackout. Hope that wont disapoint die hard sci fi fans.(like me). And showrunners will make Graham Rogers(Danny Matheson) next joffrey baratheon(G of T)kid that everybody love to hate. poor kid. At least i feel that way. Not sure.

With sure sci fi will be 666 park and looks very good. Think with revolution will be next new hit dramas.

  • Nick

Why dows everyone think that Castle will fall so much? This past year was the first time in Castle’s history it did not grow year-to-year, so it needs to die now? Sheesh.
It must be the Castle/Hawaii 5-O trash talk seeping in. ;-)

Since everyone else is doing it, Here are my top dramas this year, ratings-wise:

    1. Elementary
    2. Revolution
    3. 666 Park Avenue
These will actually be the only three great-rated fall shows for the networks. Sad.

  • Mari

The Mob Doctor and Castle for me.

  • Derek

Just Revolution for me on Mondays…man I’m watching less and less TV…

Yep. I agree. From all dramas and i don’t see any other drama close to these 3.
