Continuing our night-by-night look at the Fall 2012 Fall TV schedule, we move to Sunday.  The only changes on the night are two ABC shows, and one CBS show, but only one of those shows are new.  Desperate Housewives, long an ABC tentpole is gone, and hopeful sophomore Revenge takes its place at 9pm, followed by the only new show of the night, 666 Park Avenue.

Last spring there was some doubt about the NFL season, but there's no doubt this year. Sunday Night Football will, of course, dominate the night's ratings. ABC won't top football, but it may well top the night after football season.

Will The Good Wife finally be sold into syndication? Considering the tenacity of Les Moonves' salespeople, I'm going with yes, but it hasn't been an easy sell. The Mentalist takes the place of canceled CSI: Miami at 1opm. The Mentalist will have 116+ episodes at the end of next season (its 5th), and isn't owned by CBS. Next spring will be an interesting time for fans worried about the show's future.

No new shows for Fox's Sunday animation line up next season. The Cleveland Show will join the night at 7:30 after football season.

Take a trip down memory lane with last season's 2011's Sunday Fall schedule:

  • Phil

DEXTER & Revenge bitches! I can’t understand why some poeple loves OUAT so much. It’s quite boring.

  • Brandy

    Ouat,Revenge

  • Ryan Schwartz

Hopeful that Revenge’s ratings can stay afloat. As long as OUAT’s audience returns, it should be fine.

  • Mary

Sundays are going to be tough for CBS with the football overrun. Me I have to decide whether I want to watch Homeland live or DVR it since I’m watching The Mentalist.

  • Percysowner

OUAT,Revenge, 666 Park Ave. DVR Amazing Race and Mentalist, which means I’ll probably get Good Wife by default as I compensate for over runs.

  • OMG

I have to say I am VERY worried about Revenge. Sundays at 9pm is the most watched but also the most saturated slot on television. It is usually quite lead-in dependent too.

  • Travis

Amazing Race, Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers, Good Wife, and REEEEEEVEEEEENGE! Might try 666 Park Avenue. Definitely not wasting time with Family Guy or Once Upon a Time anymore.

  • joel

If last year’s ratings are any indication OUAT is not a bad lead-in.

  • Jared

Once Upon a Time..666 Park Ave and The Good Wife.

  • Eddie in Joisey

Not sure why CBS continues to attempt to put TAR on at 8. It is always delayed by football and due to the 9pm log jam, it is inevitably deleted from my DVR halfway through the season.

  • bob

Amazing Race, Revenge!!!!!!, 666 Park Avenue (will try), The Mentalist if 666 Park Avenue fails or during repeats or times not on. Hardest day of the week…..Revenge vs The Good Wife sucks!!!! (I like both although I could not even skip a Revenge episode to watch The Good Wife).

  • joel

I’ve decided all the FOX shows I watch will get manually recorded for time-shifting on my spillover DVR. The most painful of the shows for me to send over there is Family Guy (stupid Amazing Race overruns). If Family Guy is awesome this year I might have to send TAR over there instead.

  • Bern

Watching: OUAT, Revenge, and The Simpsons.

I prefered that ABC renewed Missing which was an amazing action show and seeing different location in Europe than picking up 666 Park Avenue.

  • Melanie

Once Upon a Time – Leverage on TNT and whatever is on HBO at 9 – and I might try 666 Park Ave. Or football depending on what teams are playing.

  • Mark Wilkins

Football, OUAT, and TGW for me on Sunday. I’ll pass on everything else

  • tv#1

I am going to watch ABC straight through. Great night of programming; probably the greatest night of dramatic programming on network TV this fall.

I will also watch The Cleveland Show, Family Guy, and American Dad.

  • Erika

8-9 Once Upon A Time, The Amazing Race

9-10 The Walking Dead, Boardwalk Empire, Dexter

    9-10 Trying 666 Park Avenue

  • frodo

Revenge, 666 park and Once Upon a time, Dexter later on.

  • AustinGriffith

AFV, OUAT and Football while switching to Family Guy.

  • AustinGriffith

Oh and i’m going to try 666
