Continuing our night by night look at the Fall 2012 schedule we move to Thursday night.

Unlike Fall 2011, when The X Factor results show crashed into Thursday among a total of seven new shows, Fall 2012 scheduling changes seem minor, with the most noteworthy change being Two and a Half Men moving to 8:30.

At least early on I expect most interest will be for:

  • How does Two and a Half Men do at 8:30? Can it help put CBS on top the adults 18-49 ratings for the entire night?
  • How will the addition of Britney Spears and Demi Lovato change the ratings for The X Factor?
  • Will Last Resort be the next Lost? Or the next Missing / FlashForward?
  • Will Beauty And The Beast do better than The Secret Circle?
  • How will the other relocated veteran Glee do?
  • How low can NBC Go On "The Night Formerly Known As Must See TV?"

For a trip down memory lane, check out 2011-12's Thursday Fall schedule:

    Just TBBT and POI for me :)

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    This finding Finch quest is genius. Great work from writers. Where is Finch? Where is Finch? Where is Finch? The search start on Sept. 27 at 9/8c on CBS! No on drama have this quality and script.TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA is well deserved award for the show! Unique crime drama, creative and entertaining with a lot of action and humour! Reese and Finch are the best.

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    5 reasons why i think that after TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA Person of interest will be TV’S #1 DRAMA:

    1) More and more people start watching the show. Guess they found it now or friends tell them for great quality and script. Best in all network tv.

    2) Jim Caviezel and Michael Emerson. And if everybody knew about Mr. Finch(EMMY award winner), Mr. Reese make us to ask who is Jack?

    3) Uniqueness of the show. I mean with so much ‘more of the same’ not only dramas but sitcoms, reality, singing competition shows etc. so hard to find something different.

    4) This finding Finch quest is genius. Great work from writers. Where is Finch? Where is Finch? Where is Finch? The search start on Sept. 27 at 9/8c on CBS!

    5) New CBS “super thursday” block. With TAHM lead-in.

    X Factor will not do any better with Britney and Demi; Glee should do okay; Beauty and the Beast will fail miserably; Last Resort has to get off to a good start or it’s toast. There’s no hope for NBC.

  • Anne

    Really looking forward to ABC’s line-up. Last Resort and Scadal are going to be amazing! :)

    Also how and in what universe is Person of Interest unique when it is just a sad rip-off of Minority Report? I hope CBS finally starts to sink and the actually have to come up with better programming becuase I am serious tired of multi-camera sitcoms and dramas and the same old tired procedural’s with lawyers and cops.

  • SPM

    I hope Beauty & the Beast fails miserably to spite the CW for cancelling my fave new show of last season The Secret Circle.

    @Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    I’m sorry to disappoint you but many people abandoned show after March i completely agree with Anne people are tired of procedures . besides i like the mentalist more

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    @Anne

    CBS is #1 networks so you will be waiting long long time. “Only CBS”.

    @joss
    TM was good but now is aging. All aging CBS dramas are going in sunday from there way is only one cancel or one more season in friday and than cancel.

    @SPM
    Wgy so much peeple want Beauty & the Beast to fail. By the way must fails. They try copy/paste once and in a bas way?

  • Person of Interest – TV’S #1 NEW DRAMA

    @SPM

    I am so happy that TV can make smart people like Jonathan Nolan to work on shows like PoI and be showrunners. Iys so hard these days to find oscar Emmy award talent guys to work in TV with snart team and entertaining and wuality shows. Great script guys. You are the best.

    Jim Caviezel struck by lightning and very funny video with Jim&Michael:

  • Michael

    Thursday nights are so damn competitive! The smaller shows (even though, they have loyal fan-bases) will suffer.

  • KJ Styles

    I’ll watch Big Bang Theory and Person Of Interest for certain, and I’ll give Elementary a chance. I’ll DVR Last Resort.

  • monica

    I’m not going to watch this year CW! nothing original ! CW = FLOP.

  • mary

    Kristin K. is not a good actress!
