Continuing our night by night look at the Fall 2012 schedule we move to Tuesday night.  Six new shows on the night: four comedies and two dramas. Along with Wednesday, the night with the most new shows.

ABC  doesn't have any rookie shows, but pushes Dancing with the Stars results show an hour earlier, and moves in a 2nd and 3rd year sitcom from other nights to 9pm, followed by Private Practice in the place of Body Of Proof.

Fox launches a 2 hour live action sitcom block led by relative ratings weakling Raising Hope. I am not hopeful.

NBC brings The Voice results show into the Fall along with rookie sitcoms Go On (Matthew Perry vs. Happy Endings which was renewed over his last sitom, Mr. Sunshine) and The New Normal, joining Tuesday fixture Parenthood.

CBS launches new drama Vegas where Unforgettable failed last season. Les Moonves is predicting victory, but Les is always predicting victory.

The CW goes all medical on the night, as Hart Of Dixie moves to a new night and leads into the new series Emily Owens, M.D. Sadly, Emily is unlikely to be the traffic draw for us that Ringer was last season. Whether it will live longer or not, we'll have to wait and find out.

Take a trip down memory lane with last season's 2011 Tuesday Fall schedule:

  • Hod

I’ll be watching Hart of Dixie and ABC’s comedy block. Tuesday nights will be awesome! However, I would like to check Emily Owens MD once or twice.

  • Ryan Schwartz

New Girl, Go On, and Apartment 23 for me. And while I can’t be sure, I predict 2 out of 3 of these will be cancelled by season’s end.

  • Andy W

I think Happy Endings may get crushed due to being up against New Girl & Go On which I think will both be strong this year. I love all 3 shows (or at least I loved the premier of Go On not sure how it’ll play out but it seems as though it’ll be brilliant)

The Mindy Project will be D.O.A in my view. Watched the Premier and didn’t find it funny.

  • Mary

I still don’t know what I’m going to do with 10 pm. I’m definately watching Parenthood but I’m not as interested in Private Practice knowing that Daly is gone. So, there’s a good chance I’ll sample Vegas.

  • Brandy

I’m watching Hart of Dixie and Emily Owens MD

  • OMG

ABC should really be hoping for low 2s for Happy Endings and Don’t Trust The B—- In Apartment 23. It is just way too many overlaps. Go On is well reviewed, but it’s against New Girl. And Mindy Project and Ben and Kate were surprise critic favourites, so it is all up in the air. I suspect The New Normal will lose quite a bit from Go On.

  • Jared

Hart of Dixie and The New Normal for me.

  • Travis

Raising Hope and The Voice at 8, and of course Parenthood at 10. Hard to choose between all the 9:00 comedy blocks. Definitely watching ABC’s, even though those shows are going to get killed in the ratings. I’ll probably swap out New Girl (wasn’t super impressed last season) for Go On, which will hopefully improve upon its pilot. The Mindy Project’s pilot was better than the New Normal, but I just don’t know yet… Curse my DVR for only being able to record two shows at once!

  • Bern

Watching: Happy Endings and The Voice.
Might try to see The New Normal cause Nene Leaks character is hilarious from the previews

  • Percysowner

The voice, try Hart of Dixie and Emily Owens.

  • bob

Dancing results. NCIS LA. NCIS Regular I will Amazon Instant Video at 1.89 an episode but at least I will have it forever.

  • Jenny

Good god my Tuesdays will be super crowded. I’ll be watching Raising Hope, Happy Endings, Apt 23, The New Normal, The Mindy Project, Parenthood, and possibly Hart of Dixie. Really interested to see how New Girl does without the Glee lead-in, because last season the ratings were unimpressive without Glee. When Happy Endings returns it shouldn’t have to compete with New Girl right away, so hopefully it will do fine.Happy Endings is a true gem, and New Girl is pretty bad iimo.

  • Doug

People are overestimating the strength of TNG – it was only doing mid 2s by the end of last season. Certainly not a monster hit, by any means.

  • Travis

Actually Jenny, the ratings for New Girl were almost always higher than the ratings for Glee, and I don’t believe the ratings for New Girl ever dipped below a 2.5, although I may be wrong about that.

I do agree with you that Happy Endings is the superior show, but I definitely think that New Girl is a threat.

  • Melanie

NCIS And SOA on FX at 10.

  • Baqinardo

Gonna watch all NBC line up.
And FOX too. Except Mindy probably.

  • chrisss

    @ Doug

    They’re bringing back Star Trek?!

  • Erika

8-9 Hart of Dixie (live), The Voice, DWTS
    9-9:30 Happy Endings (live)
    9:30-10 I’ll give Mindy Project a try
10-11- May be give Vegas a try but not sure

  • Mark Wilkins

Another season and its still all CBS for me on Tuesday. Maybe on Fox comedy in between NCIS, NCIS:LA, and Vegas.

  • Jenny

    @Travis

A recent search will show you that New Girl has went as low as 2.2 before.
