I don’t know a person here that knows more information on ratings than does Apple. He’s our go to guy here . Plus, he tends to stay under the radar a lot, but, he has a wide range of knowledge.

Democrats Boo God & Jerusalem – Ban Christian Gift Baskets at Convention

The Democratic National Committee banned dozens of Charlotte churches from distributing gift baskets to delegates because the congregations hold values that are contrary to the party platform, according to local religious leaders.

They told us our views on women’s rights are contrary to the Democratic party platform,” said David Benham, the lead organizer of the Charlotte 714 religious movement.

Charlotte 714 is a group of more than 100 churches across the region that mobilized to pray for the Democratic National Convention. More than 9,000 people gathered last Sunday for a time of worship and prayer in advance of the convention.

Note: Sept. 3, according to Gallup, Obama led Romney 69 percent to 23 percent among those who have no religion.

This religious error is defineteky a donneybrook , but, the Repubs. had one ,too…. Clint Eastwood (who I usually adore)

Talking to my folks today, I’m reminded how both Debbie WS & Michael Steele stink & stunk. They both have lied; they both failed to represent their Parties well ; they both have been made fun of , but, Michae Steele just about bankrupted the RNC. He was a terrible fundraiser.

    Some GOOD NEWS.

You must read the whole story to get the context of Obama’s incompetence in dealing with a major negotiation.

Bob Woodward Book: Debt Deal Collapse Led to ‘Pure Fury’ From President Obama

At a critical juncture, with an agreement tantalizingly close, Obama pressed Boehner for additional taxes as part of a final deal — a miscalculation, in retrospect, given how far the House speaker felt he’d already gone.

Pentagon Report: Obama Admin Fails to Set Up Voting Offices on Bases

The Pentagon’s Inspector General discovered nearly half of U.S. military bases abroad lack offices where troops can register to vote or apply for absentee ballots.

The Pentagon’s report notes the Military and Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, which President Barack Obama signed into law in 2009, requires an installation voting assistance office (IVAO) on every military base that is not in a war zone. The Pentagon attempted to contact the offices at 229 military bases, but could only reach 114 IVAOs.

Feds Seek Prison Time For Obama “Hope” Artist

Fairey has admitted destroying electronic records and creating fake documents in an effort to thwart a copyright lawsuit brought by the Associated Press, which contended that Fairey had based the “Hope” image on a photo taken by an AP lensman.

Report: White House Pressured Gallup To Change Its Polling Methodology…

Internal emails between senior officials at The Gallup Organization, obtained by The Daily Caller, show senior Obama campaign adviser David Axelrod attempting to subtly intimidate the respected polling firm when its numbers were unfavorable to the president.

After Gallup declined to change its polling methodology, Obama’s Department of Justice hit it with an unrelated lawsuit that appears damning on its face.

TheDC is withholding the identities of the Gallup officials to protect them from potential retaliation from Obama’s campaign and his administration.

Boy! Kudos to ‘The Daily Caller’ with all the stories they’ve broken lately. They have a tiny fraction of the resources of big time newspapers.

Mississippi NAACP Executive Given Jail Time For Voter Fraud…
    – –

Lessadolla Sowers, who is a member of the Tunica County NAACP Executive Committee, was convicted and sentenced in April for what a judge said were crimes that cut “against the fabric of our free society.”

She was given a five-year sentence for each of the ten counts of voter fraud for which she was convicted, but the sentencing judge allowed her to serve the terms concurrently, according to the Tunica Times.

    Maybe, type to you later.

The great thing about TVbtN is that the hosts (and their helpers) have taken the time to interact with commenters and tell us when we’re off course. I can comment more confidently after so many years, but still wait for them to reply to any comment about ratings here before I give it a shot.

Amazing speech…it was Absolutely brilliant. This was the best speech he has ever given. I know he has lot of faults as do all of us but man oh man can he energize people. That was the most informative speech I’ve ever heard…it dismantled every single argument the Republicans made last week. I really believe he just won the election for Obama.

  • Mark2

I can’t believe it’s already Thursday and this site still hasn’t shown Tuesday’s Cable News ratings. I think they might be embarrassed to show Fox News losing to MSNBC.

“Everytime I see the commercial where Pres Clinton warns about repubicans and deregulation I laugh,,since he’s the president that repealed Glass-Steagall and pushed sub-prime slime through the community reinvestment act…”

Yep, I feel the same. I really can’t forgive him for the financial deregulations, or his misogyny, and signing on to the repeal of Glass-Steagall is the main reason he’ll never be filed in my internal list of “Good Presidents” (which is very short), despite the fact that the country was doing well while he sat in office.

I mean, that isn’t the only reason for the financial meltdown, but the fact that there hadn’t been a major banking-related recession since the 1930s, when they were absolutely rampant in the 19th century and early 20th century, should have been a clue that the whole post-Depression banking regulation thing was working pretty well. Incidentally, Obama’s early White House was filled with a lot of the same people who pushed for those deregulations in the first place.

  • Matthew

“…no recovery in our history has ever took this long.”

I’ve seen this statistic thrown out by pundits several times, and I always find it a little questionable. In particular, how do you define ‘recovery?’ Are you including the duration of the recession/depression into the definition? Because we’ve certainly been in depressions and recessions that have lasted longer than this one. IIRC, unemployment stayed over 10% for several years during the Long Depression.
