    Grimm ratings aren’t bad, but aren’t great, either.

    On one hand, it’s NBC. It’s good that it hasn’t dropped from its season one Friday ratings. On the other hand, with all the Olympics promotion, a Monday timeslot, positive word-of-mouth, it should be on the upper side of the 2.0 line.

    4.6 million is nice for an NBC show, if it can maintain that in its regular timeslot, it’ll be an established hit, and will be renewed for years to come.

    NBC has finally succeeded in finding The Next (something). In this case, Supernatural.

    They’ve been looking for the next Lost, Glee, and, yes, even Twilight, without any luck.

    Grimm is a winner for NBC, it wins its timeslot, it doesnt cost much to make (No major stars or fancy sets), and it has a proven fan base.

    It has scored steady numbers between Friday, Thursday and Monday (Summer) timeslots. It has done well with aweful lead ins.

    Supernatural (its genre rival) has been moved to another night away from Grimm. It is runnign against Fringe (Known low rater), What would you Do (reality TV), Made in Jersey (Female Comedy/Drama), and Nikita (CW), none of which should pose much of a problem to Grimm gaining solid numbers.

    It will be interesting to see how Grimm will do when back to friday. 1.5 on friday would be great.

    There’s no reason to be worried about GRIMM Ratings on Friday. This year, the Friday night will not be as hard as it was because CSI: NY moves to 8:00PM, Supernatural is now on Wednesday and Fringe has only a 13 episodes order. The only big adversary of Grimm will be Shark Tank because Made in Jersey doesn’t seem to be a high rated show.

    Doesn’t Grimm repeat Monday episode on Fridays currently. I know they have repeats on Friday, I have not looked to see if they are the same as Monday. I believe they are getting a .6 on Fridays, if that is the case then the combined with the Monday numbers, they are doing pretty good.

    @pvcleave

    Not a valid way of working out overall ratings, as many might watch it again so u can’t really add 1.5 to 0.6

    @John A

    I agree, these ratings are great! If it reaches 1.2 and lower, then there’s the trouble.

  • Anthony

    Monday night scheduling debacle aside, I kind of agree with PJM. I can actually see a scenario where Animal Practice and Guys With Kids flop, Whitney and Community takes their spots, and Revolution moves to Fridays after its numbers are far from stellar.
    None of that will happen. NBC has numerous comedies and dramas waiting in the wings to replace flops (From dramas they have Do No Harm, Hannibal, Infamous, Crossbones, and if they pick it up Mockingbird Lane; comedies they have Next Caller, Save Me, and 1600 Penn) If Revolution has less than stellar numbers it will be pulled from the schedule and being as Whitney and Community only have 13 episodes, they will most likely finish their runs in the same slot.

    @CrimTV

    I understand that. However, I would not assume all Friday’s numbers are duplicates. If they can have a part of those Friday,I would expect the ratings would stay pretty good when it is moved to Friday. I just do not think you can totally discount all of the Friday numbers.

    Futoncritic’s site has Grimm in reruns now until a new episode on Friday, 9/28. Nothing (or else reruns) on Mondays now….so is that right? TVG’s site doesn’t have it airing this Monday…that was all I checked there.

    @ Smoke You’re darn right the LAC owns! It’s time for the CW to declare victory and renew this show for a third wonderful season. I’m hoping for at least one spinoff as well.

  • Brian

    I root for Grimm but haven’t watched beyond the pilot. Its the type of show I will marathon when its all set and done, hoping for atleast 3 seasons.

  • Sam

    I agree I like it on fridays too, it works well with fridays

  • Yep

    I still can’t believe this little show sucked me in so hard. I gave it a watch last year just because the scenery looked nice, but now? I freaking love it and think the writing and characters are sweet and simple – actors are all doing a fine job. Don’t care when it’s on, it’ll always have a slot on my DVR.

  • janster

    Grimm is just so good. It’s hard to believe only the low millions watch it while many more people dribble their lives away on shows so bad everyone involved should be arrested. Hopefully this brilliantly intriguing show will draw more people in WHEN given a permanent time slot and dependable programming EACH WEEK! Take note, NBC.

  • janster

    Oh, yeah, the new “love story”. It is working very, very well and who would have guessed? Again, brilliant and intriguing scripts. Weir blew us all away on Prison Break, and he is a thing of beauty to watch him work his acting magic.

  • Sheila

    i love grimm and i would watch it on any timeslot great script thinking outside the box i get so bored with all the cop/laywer/n medical n reality shows on tv this is fun to watch always look forward to the next show.
