An estimated 25.1 million people watched the second night of the 2012 Democratic National Convention on Wednesday, September 5. [...]
The DNC was up against a formidable opponent. The NFL kicked-off (literally) its season with the New York Giants hosting the Dallas Cowboys on NBC (8:41 PM to 11:30 PM ET). The Game averaged 23.9 million viewers.
While coverage varied by network, all seven aired live coverage from approximately 10:00 PM to 11:30 PM. The chart below highlights the sum of the average audience for these networks during common coverage.

While noted in the "Networks Included" lists, it's worth calling out the fact that PBS was not rated during the 2008 conventions, as it is now, and any PBS viewership in 2008 was not counted.

Not bad.
I figured they would lose more.
So in total the DNC beat football that’s amazing !!! Great numbers for DNC !! The DNC speeches have been excellent !!
But who won 18-49 ?
I think we know the answer to that.
DNC beat RNC night 1. Did DNC night 2 beat RNC night 2 as well?
Yes. RNC-2: 22,301,000.
Why exactly was BET included in day 1?! Was this included in the RNC numbers? Wow.
I don’t think the Dems care who won among 18-49.
They care most who won among likely voters.
Casey, did you actually think that BET aired the RNC convention? LOL. That’s like thinking CMT would air the DNC.

I wouldn’t guess CMT would air the DNC, since they didn’t air the GOP either. Not because CMT is racist. Because BET is racist.
LOL back at you.
So basically NBC dominated with the football game and dominated with their MSNBC covering the Convention.
If you think a middle-aged politician is cool, then YOU are not.
