Sam,
No doubt there are those who want the President to
fail even if that is bad for the country, but I also do not doubt there were those happy with any bad news from Iraq so they could tie it to GWB. I do think most people are really just concerned with their immediate situation regardless of who is in charge, though they make less noise than people on the hard left/right.
@Sam
—————————–
If the Dems want to win this election they have to play this 24/7. This is the party that puts politics and their hate to president Obama over country.
—————————–
great thing if Obama wins they can move on to priority #2
About watching each other’s point of view. Comparing second day of conventions, 10-11pm, more people watched the DNC on Fox News than the RNC on CNN+MSNBC combined.
Day 2 of DNC on Fox News: 3,103K viewers
Day 2 of RNC on CNN+MSNBC: 2,781K
I can tell Obama’s got momentum because I’ve never seen so many anti-Obama posts on this site with so much effort and video attachments, etc. The Repubs are running scared!!!!!
I love MSNBC. Rachel Maddow is the smartest political cable tv host. Congrats to MSNBC on having such a huge ratings week. This is a great indication that the democratic base will show up on voting day and reelect President Obama. I know he has my vote!
@ bobbyv,
“No doubt there are those who want the President to

There is a different my friend …. A HUGE ONE !
When people wish a certain president to fail that’s normal
When a freakin Senate minority leader and his party say with their own words that they’ll wok hard to make sure the country fails so Barack loses, then those politicians harming their country INTENTIONALLY ! In my book they are called TRAITORS !
I don’t want to talk to Mitch McConnel , I want to talk to his John , his sponsor , his big daddy who’s paying him to say that.
@Boss
“And a couple of those folks you listed as “normal,” well……”
Ralph, Dougz and Ratboy are NOMRAL as in NOT NUTS like lbsles. They do however just completely ignore facts and ignore things that are said and spin. ESPECIALLY Ratboy, he’s on the fence between normal and nuts….I still remember him trying to say that it was a fact that Obama paid millions to seal his school records up…
In 2008 Obama said that if couldn’t deliver on his promises for unemployment and deficit reduction he should be a one term president. Now he says he understimted the severity of the problems and needs another term to complete his work. I think he is refering to his “shovel-ready” jobs that will be “shovel-ready” maybe in his second term, but the deficit reduction will have to wait until he is out of office.
FIRED UP
PREDATOR DRONE
Just noticed that the movie 2016: Obama’s America was #3 at the boxoffice for Wednesday and #1 in revenue per theater. Word of mouth is doing wonders for an obscure movie. Has anyone seen a poll on any voter effect it might have had?
@Suik … I think Ratboy falls off the fence too often. Ralph has his moments of humanity … Doug Z, meh.
@Letmethink … thank you, sir. I appreciate your well-wishes. My mother has been brought home from the hospital, basically to die. Her gynocologist-oncologist does not want to continue chemotherapy. Her cancer has mestasticized to Stage 4, and her doctor told her to go home and spend this time with the family. So, I work every day and then spend about four hours with my mother afterwards. I leave the house in the morning at 6:45am and arrive home around 7:30pm every night. These 13 hour days are tough, but it’s what I have to do.
Thank you again, Letmethink. You prove that we can disagree without being disagreeable. You’re one of the good ones. Believe that and have a good night.
Sam,
I am not here to defend Mitch M. (although it will seem like I am doing just that). I cannot read his mind, maybe he thinks the President’s policies are so harmful to the country that the R’s need to make sure he does not have a second term, or maybe he is such a cruel jackass that he does want to harm people. I am sure he would say the former, many D’s would say the latter.
I cannot say you are wrong, my point is that both sides are hypocrites who will do and say what they need to to gain or keep power. Look at how the R’s downplay the death of OBL because a D is in power, and is it not funny how we hear so little about torture these days because an R is not in power?
Boss,
Just saw your post, I am very sorry to hear that about your mother.
@MathMan … the recession was three times WORSE than originally anticipated. The stimilus was too small, but it was very effective (in keeping unemployment down). 92% of all independent analyses agree with me.

I haven’t seen it, but i’ve heard about what’s in it…besides a few minor things like what his poor brother in Kenya had to say, I already knew about 96% of it from the 2008 campaign..the media simply wouldn’t vet Obama and tell the people about it….but i don’t know if you can get liberals to go watch it and actually pay attention…you can’t even run a clip of Obama speaking, and have them actually hear what he says…
@Bobbyv … thank you, sir. It’s been a very difficult time for me and my family. It’s hard to watch your mother slowly waste away and get eaten up by cancer. And I have to live this daily. All else seems insignificant in comparison, particularly these partisan fights on this site.
Anyway, I appreciate your kind words.

***********************************************
That is SO NOT TRUE…before Obama was elected he said it was the worst recession since the great depression…not really true, but okay…so to be 3 tiems worse than that would have to be atleast twice as bad as the great depression…and no, the independent analysts that the left use are left wingers who are biased as hell…all the independent analysts I’ve heard from say Obama made things worse…and no, the only reason the unemployment rate APPEARS down is because the Obama Administration redefined the definition of unemployed…when the labor depart calls people to find out if they are unemployed, the person isn’t even allowed to say they are disabled…for instance, if your parents own a business, and you do household chores, you know, like doing dishes, mowing the lawn, etc, then you were employed…that’s not employed…the REAL unemployment rate, according to the Labor Department is approximately 12-15%….
@Stan T … so, what is the movie about? More birther crap? Who gives a sh*t? Why does it matter?
Bill Clinton was spot on last night when he talked about the Right Wing HATE towards President Obama. It’s unparalleled. And this is coming from a guy who was accused by the Right-wing wackos of MURDER.
disabled=umemployed…sometimes two different thoughts enter my mind at the same time…and sometimes a word sneaks in.
Never want to see someone you love in pain. You know some day
you will lose your parents but that does not make it easier. Just knowing how you feel about her I would hope gives her some joy.
